Each level also contains one separately tracked Purity Seal, for three Seals in the branch. This guide follows the levels in campaign order and gives the landmark, trigger and route for every collectible.
What you can collect in “There Is Only War”
The branch is made up of The Trenches, Munitions Mayhem and Chaos In The City. Secrets and Purity Seals are separate collectibles: collecting every Secret does not automatically collect a Seal in the same level.

The whole-game tally cited by 174 Secrets and 33 Seals — 100% Guides, 2026 places this branch inside the campaign’s larger collectible total. For this mission branch, use the level-by-level routes below rather than relying on the global number.
How to avoid locking yourself out of a collectible
Finish a level normally, then use Level Select to revisit it and collect anything you missed. The campaign also makes the alternate branch available after another campaign choice, so the presence of a different route in your playthrough does not mean these collectibles are permanently lost. If you are working toward a clean run, pause at each landmark in the route and search before crossing the next major transition.

- Keep Secrets and Purity Seals as separate checklist items.
- When a step says to press against a wall, walk the full face of the wall rather than looking only for a visible doorway.
- For movement secrets, line up the jump before committing to the drop or jump pad; the intended landing is part of the route.
- After a major door, key, Purge or bridge crossing, stop and compare your position with the next landmark in this guide.
The Trenches: all four Secrets and the Purity Seal
The Trenches is the shortest of the three levels by Secret count, but its collectibles are distributed across distinct transitions: the first metal-trench route, the sniper trench, the area outside the purple-hued building and the room beyond the red door.
Secret 1: end of the metal trenches
- Complete the first Purge.
- Continue through the metal building into the metal trenches.
- Follow the trenches all the way to their end instead of turning back at the first opening.
- Search the terminal end of the trench route to trigger the first Secret.
The key landmark is the change from the building interior to the metal trench network. If you stop at the building exit, you have not reached the correct search area.
Secret 2: lower section of the sniper trench
- Continue until you reach the large open trench area covered by snipers.
- Look for a way down into the lower section of that area.
- Drop into the lower trench rather than remaining on the sniper-facing upper route.
- Search the lower section for the Secret.
This is a vertical check: the collectible is below the main sightline, not on the exposed upper edge where the snipers are positioned.
Secret 3: right side after the purple-hued building
- Leave the purple-hued metal building and enter the open area beyond it.
- Before committing to the forward route, turn to the right.
- Follow the right-hand side around the open area and inspect the detour for the Secret.
The building exit is the reference point. If you leave the building and immediately follow the central path, you can pass the right-side route without seeing the collectible.
Purity Seal: platform behind the red door
- Pass through the red door.
- Enter the next room and find the corridor running behind it.
- Use the boxes in that rear corridor as steps.
- Climb onto the small platform to collect the Purity Seal.
The Seal is above floor level and is tracked independently from the four Secrets. The boxes are the intended route onto the platform; do not leave the room before checking the rear corridor.

Secret 4: container beside the purple-key console
- Continue to the console that requires the purple key.
- Stand facing the console and check the container on its left.
- Search that container area to collect the fourth Secret.
This is a landmark-based search rather than a hidden-wall trigger: the purple-key console identifies the room, and the container is immediately to its left.
Munitions Mayhem: all eight Secrets and the Purity Seal
Munitions Mayhem contains the branch’s largest concentration of collectibles and the widest mix of triggers. The first Purge has a hidden opening at each end of its upper corridors, while later secrets use a missile jump, train-platform exploration, a jump pad and a wall search.

Secret 1: shoot the skull in the first hall
- Enter the first hall.
- Look behind the boxes for a skull.
- Shoot the skull.
- Use the left gate that opens and follow the revealed route to the Secret.
The skull is the trigger. Shooting it is required; simply searching the boxes or approaching the gate without activating the skull will not open the passage.
Secret 2: wall at one end of the first Purge’s upper corridors
- Reach the upper area around the first Purge.
- Choose one of the corridors surrounding that upper section.
- At the end of the corridor, press directly against the wall.
- Continue searching the wall until the hidden opening reveals the Secret.
There is no ordinary doorway to aim for here. Treat the corridor’s end wall as the interaction surface and make contact with it rather than scanning only for a visible switch.
Secret 3: wall at the opposite end
- Remain in the upper corridor network around the first Purge.
- Cross to the opposite end from the wall used for Secret 2.
- Press against that end wall to reveal the second hidden opening.
- Enter and collect the Secret.
Both Secrets are in the same upper-area sequence, but they are separate wall checks. Finding one does not open or count the other.

Secret 4: jump onto the missile at the silo
- Reach the silo where the route requires you to jump down.
- Do not make the required drop immediately.
- Jump onto the back of the missile first.
- Use the missile position to reach the Secret before continuing downward.
The missile is the visual cue and the movement solution. The collectible is easy to miss if you treat the silo only as a descent point.

- Enter the underground train station.
- Look to the right for the parked airship.
- Enter the airship and search inside for the Purity Seal.
The Seal is inside the airship, not on the main train platform. Check the right side of the station before following the trains onward.
Secret 5: back of the far train
- In the same underground station, identify the far train.
- Walk to the back of that train.
- Search the rear end to collect the Secret.
Use the station’s train layout as your orientation: this is the far train, and the collectible is at its back rather than beside the nearer platform entrance.
Secret 6: metal structure above the train area
- From the train containing Secret 5, look for the nearby rocks.
- Climb the rocks to gain height.
- Use them to reach the metal structure near the train.
- Search the structure for the Secret.
This is a traversal detour connected to the same train landmark. If you have collected Secret 5, stay in the area and check the rocks before leaving the station.
Secret 7: green switch and jump pad in the final Purge area
- Reach the final Purge area.
- Find the green switch beside the globe projection.
- Press the switch to activate the jump pad.
- Use the jump pad to reach the Secret.
The globe projection identifies the correct switch. The jump pad is inactive until the green switch is pressed, so trying to use it first will not complete the route.

Secret 8: hidden room in the final area
- Stay in the final Purge area and locate the small side room.
- Press against the room’s wall.
- Continue along the wall until the hidden room reveals itself.
- Enter the opening and collect the final Munitions Mayhem Secret.
This wall interaction is separate from the green-switch route for Secret 7. Check the side room even after using the jump pad.

Chaos In The City places its collectibles around vertical buildings, a bridge crossing and statue landmarks. The safest approach is to treat every building transition as a search checkpoint, especially when a route goes above street level or outside the obvious wall line.
Secret 1: second-floor hole after the red key
- Use the red key.
- Climb the building that opens into the next route.
- Reach the second floor.
- Exit through the hole in the wall to find the Secret.
The hole is the exit to the collectible route. Do not remain inside the second-floor room or descend before checking the wall opening.
Secret 2: destroyed column at the end of the bridge
- Cross the bridge.
- At its end, find the destroyed column.
- Use the column to reach the opposite side.
- Search the landing area for the Secret.
The column is the intended crossing point. The Secret is reached by using the broken structure, not by continuing along the ordinary road route.

Purity Seal: upper room in the destroyed buildings
- Complete the Purge and operate the several switches that follow it.
- In the destroyed-buildings section, look to the left.
- Climb the debris into the upper room.
- Collect the Purity Seal inside.
The Seal requires both the post-Purge switch sequence and a debris climb. It is separate from the Secrets found on the street and in the surrounding buildings.

Secret 3: behind the statue before the enemy-held walkway
- Approach the enemy-held walkway that crosses over the road.
- Before passing underneath it, turn left.
- Check behind the statue for the Secret.
The timing cue is important: search before going under the walkway. Once you are beneath it, the statue is behind you and the side route is easy to overlook.
Secret 4: upper ledge above the purple door
- Reach the room where two corridors meet above the purple door.
- Locate the metal structure in that room.
- Use the structure to climb to the upper ledge.
- Search the ledge for the Secret.
The purple door is the room’s landmark, while the metal structure provides the route upward. The collectible is not on either corridor at floor level.
Secret 5: third-floor exterior loop
- Near the end of the level, enter the large multi-floor building.
- Climb to the third floor.
- At the left statue, find the hole in the wall.
- Pass through the hole and circle around the building’s outside on the left.
- Follow that exterior loop to the final Secret.
This route combines an interior climb with an outside circuit. The left statue marks the correct wall hole; if you stay inside the building, you have not completed the detour.

The three levels use different hiding conventions, so a missed collectible often reflects the wrong search method rather than a broken level.
- Wall presses: Munitions Mayhem uses them at both ends of the first Purge’s upper corridors and again in the final side room.
- Interactable objects: Shoot the skull in the first Munitions Mayhem hall; in The Trenches, inspect the container beside the purple-key console.
- Vertical traversal: Drop into the lower sniper trench, jump onto the silo missile, climb rocks to the train structure, and use debris or metal structures in Chaos In The City.
- Activated movement: The final Munitions Mayhem jump pad works only after the green switch beside the globe projection is pressed.
- Landmark detours: Statues, a destroyed column, a red-door corridor, an airship and train ends identify routes that are easy to run past during combat.
What to do if a Secret is missing
Return to the specific level through Level Select after finishing it, then replay only the route associated with the missing landmark. The branch’s collectibles can be revisited, so a missed item does not require abandoning the campaign. For Munitions Mayhem, recheck both ends of the first Purge’s upper corridors, the missile before the silo drop, every train-station detour and both hidden interactions in the final Purge area. For Chaos In The City, revisit the building floors, bridge end, statue positions and the exterior loop around the third-floor hole. In The Trenches, retrace the trench end, sniper-lower section, right-side open area and the rooms after the red door.
Once all three level routes have been searched, the branch’s 17 Secrets and three separately tracked Purity Seals are accounted for.
