To find Far Cry Primal’s hidden Blood Dragon homage, follow the river to an icy waterfall, turn left and then right, and take the path up and behind the falls. The cave beyond contains a skeletal Blood Dragon; discovering it unlocks the Mark 4 Wenja achievement or trophy.
How to reach the hidden cave
- Head northeast. Go toward the mountainous area at the far right of the map. Baydaya Hut is the closest landmark identified by Prima Games’ guide.
- Follow the river. Continue until you reach the icy waterfall. The location is not specifically marked on the map.
- Take the concealed route. At the waterfall, go left, then right, and follow the path up and behind it. This final approach is described by GamesBeat’s walkthrough.
- Enter the cave. Inside, you’ll find a massive dragon skeleton surrounded by glowing eggs.
The cold mountain approach can affect your temperature. Prima Games recommends crafting winter apparel and keeping an eye on the temperature gauge; these are precautions, not stated requirements for reaching the cave.

What you find and what it unlocks
The cave’s remains are identified by GamesBeat and Prima Games as a Blood Dragon, a callback to the namesake creature in Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon. Prima Games describes it as an Easter egg, and reports the hidden Mark 4 Wenja achievement description as “discover the future past.” The walkthrough sources establish the homage; this is not presented here as a separate developer confirmation.
Why the reference stands out
Far Cry Primal takes place in Oros, where player character Takkar is a prehistoric hunter. Ubisoft’s description emphasizes crafted clubs, arrows and spears rather than guns, and names the Wenja, Udam and Izila groups. A science-fiction dragon skeleton and glowing eggs are an especially conspicuous contrast in that setting. Ubisoft’s game overview provides that setting and equipment context.

Availability and current-console updates
In a January 21, 2026 article, Ubisoft said Far Cry Primal and Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon are available to purchase on PC, Xbox and PlayStation, and that both received free updates enabling 60 FPS on PS5, PS5 Pro and Xbox Series X|S.
