How the present hunt worked
Kinetic Games’ instructions were to approach a location on an event map, find Krampus’ bag and the list beside it, then search the map for the required items and drop them into the bag. The list—not a walkthrough—is the guide to which gifts you need for that investigation. Delivering gifts contributed to the event’s Community Goal and earned a gift.

- Enter one of the event maps and find Krampus’ bag near the entrance area.
- Read the Naughty or Nice list beside the bag and note the required gift icons.
- Search the map for items matching those icons.
- Carry each matching item to the bag and drop it in.
A player-written Steam guide reports that each correct delivery gave 2 Event Points, completing the list added a 10-point bonus, and a wrong delivery locked the bag for the rest of that investigation. These point and lockout details are community-reported, not confirmed in Kinetic Games’ announcement, so check each item against the in-game list before delivering it. Steam Community guide
Reported gift locations by map
The event rotated ten maps daily. The room locations below come from a player-written Steam guide; treat them as search leads, not guaranteed spawns. The guide notes that some gifts may appear more than once and some placements can be hard to spot. Always use the list at the bag to determine which kinds of gifts are needed for your investigation.

Event dates, maps, and rewards
Kinetic Games announced Winter’s Jest for December 16, 2025, at 12 PM GMT through January 6, 2026, at 12 PM GMT. The ten maps above were included in a daily rotation, so not every map was necessarily available on a given day. The announcement also listed these rewards:
- Community Goal 1: Toy Soldier ID Card and Badge set.
- Community Goal 2: Winter’s Jest trophy unlock.
- Personal Goal 1: Animated Toy Soldier ID Card.
- Personal Goal 2: upgrades to the Winter’s Jest trophy, repeatable three times.
