Tags are useful for discovery, but they are not a universal genre definition or a guarantee that every game that fits your idea of Metroidvania will appear in the category. The category’s contents can also change over time.

The cited PlayStation Store Browse page is for the US store and offers broad filters, including platform and genres such as Action and Adventure. Its visible filter list does not include a dedicated Metroidvania genre.

Try searching the Xbox store for the exact term “Metroidvania,” then search for individual game titles you want to check. How to judge the results
A storefront label or search result is a discovery aid, not a cross-platform catalogue.
