For the most reliable Seahawks availability check, start with the Seahawks Injury Updates archive, open the report for the specific game, then check the Seahawks injury-report table or NFL.com’s injury report. Practice participation and game status are separate fields; for a final answer, check the current inactive list close to kickoff.
Where to find official Seahawks injury updates
- Start with the Seahawks Injury Updates archive. It collects game-specific reports, coach updates and reported in-game injury news. Open the entry for the matchup you care about and note its date: Seahawks Injury Updates.
- Read the team’s injury-report table. The Seahawks injury-report table shows practice-day participation and the team’s label definitions. Its surfaced Week 4 table included Seahawks and opponent rows.
- Cross-check on NFL.com if useful. The NFL.com injury report lists player, position, injury, practice status and game status. Match the game and report date before comparing entries.
- Check the inactive list near kickoff. It is a separate, later availability check—not another practice report. NFL Football Operations says the inactive list is delivered at the 90-minute officiating meeting: NFL injury reporting.
How to read practice participation and game status
The Seahawks report uses these practice labels: DNP means did not participate, LP means limited participation and FP means full participation. These describe practice participation; none by itself is a definitive game-day prediction.
The game-status field has a different purpose: Out means the player will not play, Doubtful means unlikely to play, and Questionable means not certain to play. A dash means no game-status designation is listed. Read this field directly rather than translating a practice label into a status. The league policy says the practice report and game-status report should be clearly separated; it also treats a player listed on the practice report but omitted from the game-status report as certain to play under that policy. Check for later updates anyway. See the Seahawks report legend and the NFL Personnel (Injury) Report Policy.
A practical game-day availability check
- Open the Seahawks report for the exact upcoming game and note the report date.
- Compare the player’s latest practice participation with the game-status field. Do not infer the game designation from just one practice day.
- If cross-checking NFL.com, confirm it is showing the same matchup and report date.
- Recheck official updates close to kickoff, especially for a player listed Questionable or when a late event has been reported. NFL policy requires reporting changes after the initial report and immediate reporting of certain late events before the inactive-list meeting.
- Look for the current inactive list around the 90-minute game-day process. That is the final check for whether a player is active for that game.
Why the date and timing matter
An injury report is a time-stamped snapshot, not a guarantee that availability will stay unchanged through kickoff. NFL reporting rules cover changes after the initial report and certain late events; the inactive list is delivered at the 90-minute officiating meeting. A report can therefore be accurate when posted and still be overtaken by a later update.

For example, the Seahawks archive listed “Week 4 Injury Report: Seahawks vs. Chargers,” dated October 2, 2026, and NFL.com also surfaced a Week 4 2026 report. Those dated entries describe that reporting window only; do not carry their player statuses forward to another matchup. The league policy describes the practice report’s purpose as providing an accurate description of injury status and practice participation during the week: NFL injury reporting policy.

Prefer the team or league report over media speculation when the question is whether a player has a formal designation. Evaluate any update by its authority, whether it names the exact matchup, its report date or update time, and whether it clearly distinguishes practice participation from game status. If two official pages appear to disagree, first check that they cover the same game and reporting date, then look for a newer update and the inactive list.
