Sir Brunswick’s armour is collected through The Lion’s Crest quest in the Trosky region. Speak to Scribe Gaibl in Troskowitz when the quest is available, bring a shovel to the Chapel in the Rocks north of Trosky Castle, then follow four maps to the remaining caches. The five stops yield the named armour pieces, a dagger and other loot; expect wolves at one site and potentially hostile treasure hunters at the last.

Start The Lion’s Crest quest in Troskowitz

Find Scribe Gaibl in Troskowitz and speak with him to receive the riddle and a Poleaxe crafting diagram. Quest access is not described identically by every walkthrough: PC Gamer places it after the prologue, while PowerPyx says its guide requires beginning the main quest Wedding Crashers. Treat those as guide-specific progression notes; the practical requirement is that The Lion’s Crest is available in your game. (PC Gamer; PowerPyx)

Bring a shovel

You need a shovel to dig up the first cache. PC Gamer says you can buy one from the Troskowitz trader or take one from the cemetery; PowerPyx also identifies a spade as necessary. A weapon, food and Saviour Schnapps are sensible supplies for the route, according to PC Gamer. (PC Gamer; PowerPyx)

Follow the five cache locations

The first cache gives you two maps; each map points to another cache, and the first three map caches provide the next map in the sequence. Use the landmarks below to identify each site and check the contents so you can confirm you have the right cache. Locations and loot are described by PC Gamer and GamesRadar+.

Stop Landmark and route Relevant contents Encounter
Chapel in the Rocks North of Trosky Castle, in a rocky enclosure along a trail. Find the cross or shrine. Brunswick’s Gauntlet and Dagger; Maps I and II; Fragments of the Bible skill book, among other loot. No specific threat noted by the cited guides.
Wolf Hunting Spot North of Tachov and west of the Chapel in the Rocks. Look for a sack between two straight trees near the wolves’ lair. Brunswick’s Chainmail Coif, Plate Leg Armor, Caparison and Map III. Wolves may be dangerous if you are unprepared.
Crosses in the Rocks Near Vidlak Pond. Reach the rocky ledge by using the fallen tree or slope, then inspect the chest at the cross. Brunswick’s Plate Sleeves and Map IV, plus supplies reported by the guides. No specific threat noted by the cited guides.
Cross and Skeleton In the forest north of Zhelejov Wagoners’ Inn. Find the cross and skeleton/tree landmark; the sack is beside the skeleton. Brunswick’s Brigandine. GamesRadar+ also reports a Knight’s Sword on the nearby skeleton. No specific threat noted by the cited guides.
Treasure Hunters’ Camp On a hill east or northeast of the Nomad’s Camp. Look for the stone cairn marked with a cross. Brunswick’s Bascinet. Treasure hunters may attack; fight or sneak through.

1. Dig at the Chapel in the Rocks

Travel north of Trosky Castle and follow the trail to the rocky enclosure. Search for the cross or shrine, interact with it, and dig underneath. This is the first cache and the start of the map sequence.

2. Search the Wolf Hunting Spot

Follow Map I north of Tachov, west of the chapel. The sack is between two straight trees near the wolves’ lair. Be ready to deal with the wolves, or avoid a drawn-out fight if you are not equipped for one.

Gaibl’s Poleaxe diagram is a separate crafting reward, not a requirement for collecting the armour. GamesRadar+ lists the recipe as one fastening material, three iron and one Frankfurt Steel, crafted at a smithy. (GamesRadar+)
