Where to follow the smoke
- After meeting the travelers, go down to the base of Hometree and meet them there.
- Climb onto your ikran and follow the Sarentu southeast toward Weaver’s Flourish, the burned settlement.

- Dead direhorse: Check the body in the middle of Weaver’s Flourish.
- Destroyed sleeping nook: Inspect the smoking nook to the left of the direhorse.
- Ransacked baskets: Look through the foliage south of the encampment for the Na’vi baskets.
What to do after finding the symbol in the ashes
Continue southeast and pass through the fallen log. The next clue is an unfamiliar symbol in the ashes. The walkthrough then describes a fight with feral viperwolves followed by investigating the symbol with the Sarentu. Those are the next story beats; you do not need to pursue the later fire checks, eastward flight or RDA encounter to locate the smoke’s source.
About this quest route
From the Ashes is the expansion starring So’lek. Ubisoft describes it as a story set shortly after the main game; it launched on December 19, 2025, for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Amazon Luna and PC. The expansion is available separately or in an edition with the base game. Ubisoft’s announcement and Avatar.com’s expansion page confirm those release and availability details, but neither verifies this quest’s specific clue sequence.
