To find upcoming VR games with confirmed release dates, use a maintained multi-platform calendar to discover titles, then verify each date on the store for your headset and against the newest developer or publisher announcement. Treat a specific day as confirmed only when it is tied to that platform; a season, quarter, year, “coming soon” label, or TBC is not an exact release date.
Where to find upcoming VR games
Start with Duuro Plays’ VR release calendar, which covers Meta Quest, PCVR, PS VR2, PICO, Android XR, Steam Frame, and Apple Vision Pro. The calendar separates exact dates from month-, quarter-, year-, and coming-soon windows. It stated that it was last updated September 30, 2026; check the page’s update date when you visit because schedules change.
Use the calendar as a discovery tool, not as the final authority for every platform. A tracker can show a game’s Quest date while its Steam listing has no date, or show a planned date that has since changed. Follow a promising entry to the relevant store listing and current developer or publisher communication.
How to tell whether a date is actually confirmed
For a useful watchlist, record a specific day, the platform it applies to, and where that date is stated. A game can have a confirmed date on one platform and no confirmed date on another.

“Upcoming” does not necessarily mean date-confirmed. The official PlayStation VR2 upcoming-games page labels some titles “Release date: TBC,” so check the date wording for each game rather than relying on the page’s grouping.
Verify the date for your platform
- Open the calendar entry. Note the listed date and the platform it names; do not assume a Quest date also applies to Steam or PS VR2.
- Open the matching store listing. Check the Quest, Steam, or PlayStation Store page for the version you intend to play. VR.org’s tracker listed Shil for Quest on October 8, 2026, while its Steam date was still to be announced. For Bad Inmate, it listed Quest and PS VR2 for October 15, while the PlayStation Store still showed the release date as to be determined.
- Find the newest developer or publisher update. Compare its date with the store and tracker. If the sources disagree, check when each was updated and report the discrepancy or change rather than repeating an older date as current.
- Recheck near launch. A date announced by a developer can later move. Use the current platform listing and latest announcement when deciding what to trust.
For example, a PlayStation Blog post dated August 24, 2026 announced September 24, 2026 for Into the Radius 2 on PS VR2. VR.org’s tracker later listed October 8, 2026 and said the date had moved. The earlier announcement documents the original plan; it should not be presented as the current date without noting the reported change and checking the latest store or developer status.

Keep a release-date watchlist current
Duuro Plays says it updates its calendar as releases and confirmations arrive, and offers a subscribed calendar. Its guidance distinguishes a subscribed calendar from importing a downloaded calendar file: an imported file will not stay in sync. A wishlist on the relevant platform store is another way to keep a specific game in view, although store alert behavior can vary and should not be assumed to provide a release-date notification.
Calendar counts are snapshots, not industry-wide totals. Duuro Plays listed 27 games expected around October 2026 without confirmed timing and 100 games planned for 2026 without a confirmed month. Those figures describe entries on that calendar, not every VR game announced.
