To find a Roblox avatar item’s ID on a phone, open its details page in a mobile browser and look at the URL. In a typical catalog link, the item ID is the number immediately after /catalog/; the item-name text that follows is not part of the ID.
Open the item’s details page
Roblox says every item has a details page. Find the item through your inventory if you own it, or through Marketplace search or browsing if you do not.
If the item is in your inventory
- In the Roblox mobile app, tap More, then Inventory.
- Choose the relevant category and subcategory.
- Tap the item image to open its details. Roblox’s mobile instructions say to “Click the item image you wish to view.” Roblox Support: Viewing Your Inventory
If you do not own the item
Use Marketplace search with the item’s name or a keyword, or browse by category. Select the matching result to open its details page. Roblox Support: Using the Marketplace
Read the item ID from its URL
- Open the item’s details page in Safari, Chrome, or another mobile browser. If you started in the app, find the item in the browser instead.
- Tap the browser’s address bar to view the full URL. If it is difficult to read, use the browser’s copy-link option and paste the link into a text field.
- For a catalog item, locate the digits directly after
/catalog/in the URL. Copy those digits only; the following item-name slug is descriptive text, not part of the numeric ID. This URL-reading method is described in a third-party guide. wikiHow: How to Find a Roblox Asset ID
For example, in a URL shaped like roblox.com/catalog/123456789/item-name, the numeric segment shown after /catalog/ is the item ID. The example illustrates the URL structure; it is not an ID for a specific item.

Check that you are looking at the right kind of asset
This method applies to avatar items in Roblox’s Marketplace. Roblox distinguishes the Marketplace API for avatar items from the Creator Store API for other creator assets, so do not assume every Roblox asset uses a /catalog/ URL or that all Roblox identifiers refer to the same type of item. When the app does not show a link
Roblox’s documented mobile instructions establish how to reach inventory items and their details, but they do not verify a universal in-app copy-link or share control across devices and item types. If you cannot expose a usable URL in the app, open the item’s details page in a mobile browser and read or copy the address there.
