Run this troubleshooting sequence in order
Change one variable at a time and try the game again after each step. That makes the result useful evidence instead of a collection of simultaneous changes.
- Close competing programs and unnecessary tabs. Quit other applications and browser tabs that are consuming memory, then leave only the game tab open. This releases memory and reduces competing processes, which is why EA includes the step in its Pogo HTML5 troubleshooting guidance. If the game works briefly and then freezes, note the point of failure: loading the roster, opening a match, submitting a lineup, or switching screens. Temporarily disable extensions and pop-up blocking, then restart the browser. If the crash disappears, re-enable each extension one at a time and test the same action. If it persists with extensions off and in another supported browser, the problem may be game-specific, account-specific, or server-side; browser cleanup alone cannot establish which.
Sign-in loops, stale pages, or an account that will not update
Use the cache-and-cookie path in Step 2, then complete the full browser restart in Step 5. Open the current URL directly rather than an old bookmark. Use browser zoom before assuming that the game is broken. Return to the default zoom and test a nearby level, checking whether the scoreboard, roster controls, and submission buttons become visible. EA Help gives this advice for a Pogo HTML5 screen that does not fit. It is a display workaround, not evidence that the Pokémon game uses the same layout code.

If zoom changes do not reveal the missing controls, record the device orientation, window size, browser version, and which elements are absent. Compare the page in a second supported browser only after checking the game’s own requirements. A viewport that is clipped in one browser but normal in another points to a rendering or compatibility difference; it does not prove that either browser is officially supported.
A button appears to do nothing or a new window never opens
Temporarily allow pop-ups for the game’s domain and test the same button. Keep the exception narrow and temporary. If the button works only after the exception, report that result to the developer and restore normal blocking for sites that do not need pop-ups. If allowing pop-ups changes nothing, return to the extension test and check for a script or content-control extension that may be intercepting the action.
The game works on one browser or device but not another
Do not assume that the working browser is officially supported or that the failing one is defective. Verify the developer’s compatibility statement first. Check compatibility without transferring the wrong requirements
Pokémon Support’s browser guidance recommends using the latest Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge, or Samsung Internet for Pokémon.com. That statement concerns Pokémon.com itself. An independent Pokémon fantasy-football game may use a different engine, authentication system, browser policy, or mobile layout, so the Pokémon.com list cannot be presented as the fan game’s specification.

Likewise, EA Help’s Pogo page includes platform requirements and troubleshooting for EA products, and NFL Support’s reset steps describe NFL digital products. Those official pages are useful examples of browser troubleshooting, not certification that an unnamed game supports the same browsers, operating systems, memory levels, or account flow. Write down each outcome immediately.
