Start with the low-risk checks: update the game, close other apps, and restart your device. If the problem continues, check device compatibility and available storage, then send the exact error and device details to GOODROID. Avoid uninstalling until you have confirmed how to protect or recover your game account.
Try these low-risk checks first
- Update the game. Open the App Store or Google Play listing for your region and device, and install any available update. The Canadian App Store listing has shown releases marked “Bug Fix,” including version 1.25.0, but does not identify which issues those releases address; its version history is specific to that storefront and may change. Check the Canadian App Store version history.
- Close background apps and restart your device. Square Enix recommends these as general mobile-app troubleshooting steps. They are basic checks, not confirmed FAIRY TAIL Wizard Chronicle-specific fixes. Read Square Enix’s general mobile-app guidance.
- Check compatibility and available capacity. The US App Store listing says the iOS version requires iOS 13.0 or later. That requirement does not establish Android compatibility; check the listing for your device and region. Square Enix’s general guidance also recommends checking OS compatibility and making sure the device has room for stored data. Check the US App Store requirements.
If the game lags, freezes, crashes, or heats up
Record what you were doing when the problem began: for example, loading a screen, entering a battle, or making a purchase. Note whether it happens every time or only after a longer session. Store reviews include individual reports of sluggish response, lag, crashes, and heat, but reviews do not show how widespread a problem is or establish its cause. See the Google Play listing and reviews; see the Canadian App Store listing and reviews.
If a crash occurs during a purchase, keep any receipt and capture the screen or error if possible. A reviewer has described a purchase-related crash, but the available information does not establish a verified resolution.
If you see a connection or validation message
Write down the message exactly as it appears and when it appears—for example, on launch, during login, or after tapping a particular control. After checking for an update, close and reopen the app; if needed, restart the device and try again. A review on the Canadian App Store describes “error pop-ups about validation and communication,” but that is an individual report, not an official error category or confirmed diagnosis. The available sources do not confirm a current outage, a server-side fault, or a specific network fix for these messages.

Do not reinstall until you confirm account recovery
Reinstalling can remove locally stored data. Square Enix’s general mobile guidance recommends backing up game data before deleting and reinstalling an app, but the available sources do not establish FAIRY TAIL Wizard Chronicle’s specific backup, transfer, or recovery process. Before uninstalling, check the game’s account or transfer instructions, or contact GOODROID to confirm how to preserve your progress.

The official game site and store listings retrieved for this article do not provide a title-specific troubleshooting procedure or live server-status page. The app-store reviews document symptoms reported by individuals, not their prevalence or cause. For that reason, treat the checks above as safe first steps and ask GOODROID to investigate persistent errors. Visit the official game site.
