If a Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves DLC character is missing, first check that your edition or pass includes that character and that the character has been released for your platform. Then verify the DLC on the same platform account and region as the game, check that the add-on is installed, update and restart the game, and contact support if the character is still locked.
1. Check whether your edition or pass includes the character
The base game does not automatically include DLC characters. SNK lists the Standard Edition as the game only, with paid add-ons sold separately. Its current product page lists Revenge Edition with Seasons 1–3, Legend Edition with Seasons 1–2, and Standard Edition with no season pass. Check SNK’s edition and pass contents against the edition you actually purchased.

Use the pass roster below to identify where the character belongs. If you own the Standard Edition, or a pass that does not include the character, the character will remain unavailable until you obtain the relevant content or a separate character purchase, if one is offered in your storefront.

2. Confirm the character has been released
A pass can include future characters that are not yet playable. SNK’s current listing marks Rick Strowd, Duck King, and Kim Kaphwan as available in Season 3. It gives later Season 3 additions for October, November, and December 2026; the October characters are listed as Manjiro Sano and Ken Ryuguji, with Laocorn in November and a mystery character in December. Release timing and storefront availability can change, so check the current SNK product listing and your platform’s store for the character’s status.

SNK’s Season 3 announcement gave a different October entry—a mystery character—before the later product listing named Manjiro Sano and Ken Ryuguji for that month. If the character you are looking for is part of a scheduled release, use the latest product listing and storefront status rather than assuming an older schedule is still current. See SNK’s Season 3 schedule announcement.
Individual purchases are another possible route, but availability differs by season. SNK’s version 3.0.0 notes say Seasons 1 and 2 characters can be bought individually; they say individual availability and timing for Season 3 and certain characters are still to be determined. Check the exact character’s listing in your store before concluding that it can be purchased separately. Read SNK’s game news and update notes.

3. Verify the purchase and installation on the right account
If the character is released and included in your purchase, check the platform account that bought the game or DLC. A purchase made on another account, in another region, or for a different edition may not appear as owned on the account running the game.

- Open the storefront account used to buy the game or pass and check its order or purchase history for the DLC.
- Open that platform’s add-on or download management area and look for the character or season pass. Confirm it is owned and installed or available to download.
- Compare the store region and edition shown on the purchase with the account and game installation you are using. If the store says the content is not owned, verify the account and order record before buying it again.
These are general platform-account checks, not a universal SNK entitlement-recovery procedure. SNK’s product page links to platform storefronts, but the available official materials do not document one recovery process that applies to every platform. Use the official product page to locate the relevant storefront.
4. Update and restart the game
- Check your platform for a game update and install any available update.
- Close the game fully, then relaunch it.
- Return to character select and check whether the DLC character is available.
SNK’s version 3.0.0 notes do not identify a general fix for DLC characters failing to appear, so an update or restart is a basic troubleshooting check—not a confirmed fix for this specific symptom. Check the official update notes for changes relevant to your version.
5. Identify what the store status means

6. Contact support if the entitlement is valid but the character is still locked
If your storefront confirms that you own released content, but the character remains unavailable after checking installation and restarting the updated game, contact your platform’s support and SNK support. Include the platform, account region, game edition, character name, and DLC or pass purchase details. Keep the order receipt and a screenshot of the locked character or store status handy so support can identify whether the issue is purchase recognition, installation, or access in the game.

Would buying the base game solve it?
Only if you do not already own the base game. SNK describes Standard Edition as the game only; it does not include DLC characters. Buying a physical or digital base-game copy by itself will not grant a missing character or season pass. Check the edition contents before purchasing.
