Use Halo Support for behavior occurring inside Halo Infinite. Xbox Support is the appropriate destination for account, purchase, console, hardware, or broader connectivity problems. Start by identifying where the failure occurs
Separate the problem into one of four locations before changing anything:
- Campaign entitlement or access: the game says you need to purchase Campaign, or Campaign does not open from the game menu.
- Campaign loading or progression: a save remains on an endless loading screen, fast travel behaves incorrectly, or a mission will not advance.
- Halo Infinite multiplayer: matchmaking fails, a match will not load, or you see the exact message “No ping to our datacenters.”
- Xbox or internet service: other Xbox games, Xbox services, or your entire connection are also failing.
This distinction matters because a game relaunch can address an entitlement hand-off, while a network error can require a service-status check or a router administrator. Do not treat a normal transition between Halo Infinite modes as proof that Campaign is broken.

Halo Infinite says you need to buy Campaign again
A digital Campaign purchase can occasionally produce a repurchase prompt even though the license is already attached to the Xbox account. Halo Support’s documented first step is to close Halo Infinite completely and relaunch it. The workaround is listed in its Campaign Known Issues guidance.
Apply the relaunch workaround
- Exit Halo Infinite rather than leaving it suspended in the background.
- Start Halo Infinite again from the Xbox dashboard.
- Open the Play menu and select Campaign to test the entitlement.
- If the purchase prompt remains, repeat the full close-and-relaunch process rather than repeatedly selecting the purchase option.
If several complete relaunches do not restore access, stop treating it as a transient menu state and submit a Halo Support ticket. Include the Xbox operating-system version, which you can find at Settings → System → Console Info, along with the account context and a description of what appears after selecting Campaign. Halo Support specifically asks for the console OS version when this issue persists.
Do not install a second copy of the game to solve an entitlement prompt
The Campaign is accessed from inside Halo Infinite’s Play menu; it is not a separate game entry that you must launch to validate the purchase. Reinstalling without first documenting the error can consume time and may remove useful diagnostic context. Escalate the persistent entitlement problem with the OS version and exact wording instead.

Halo Infinite’s Campaign and multiplayer assets were separated with the Season 4 installation change, which launched in June 2023. Selecting Campaign from the Play menu can therefore show a loading screen while the game moves between those assets. Halo Support says the average transition is approximately 15 seconds, although the actual duration varies by Xbox console and, for the wider FAQ, PC specifications. That figure is an estimate from the installation-change FAQ, not a guarantee for every current build.
Let that transition complete before assuming the game has frozen. If the screen remains indefinitely, or the game returns you to the menu, compare the behavior with the current known-issues information rather than applying a workaround for an unrelated symptom.

Campaign loading and mission-progression problems
The known-issues page is the authoritative place to match a current Campaign symptom to a workaround. It is marked updated June 10, 2025, for version 1.11.0.1, and its entries can change as updates ship. Use the page’s exact symptom wording when deciding which branch applies.
Fast travel while the player is dead
For the documented case in which fast travel is used while the character is dead and the save becomes stuck, Halo Support’s workaround is to close the game and reload the save from the main menu. This is a targeted recovery for that state; it is not a general instruction to terminate the game whenever a loading screen takes longer than expected.
- Close Halo Infinite after the save has entered the documented stuck state.
- Launch the game again.
- Choose the affected save from the main menu instead of attempting to resume through the stuck transition.
- Load the save and avoid repeating the fast-travel-while-dead action.
A mission will not progress
Some blocked mission-progression cases listed by Halo Support may clear when the mission is restarted. Save the game if the interface allows it, return to the appropriate mission selection, and restart that mission. Check the current known-issues entry first because not every progression block has the same cause or remedy.
Protect the save while troubleshooting
Halo Support warns that forcing the game closed during active Campaign gameplay can overwrite or corrupt progress in some circumstances. Do not use a hard termination as a routine response while the character is actively playing. The exception above is the documented recovery for the specific fast-travel-while-dead state. For any other symptom, first consult the current known-issues entry and preserve the save whenever the game offers a normal way to return to the menu.
Record information before opening a ticket
For a repeatable loading or progression fault, note the mission name, the last action taken, whether the issue affects one save or several, and whether a normal restart changes it. Screenshots or a short video showing the behavior can make a bug report more actionable. Include the game version shown by the support page’s relevant entry and your console model when those details are available.

Campaign installation sizes and storage planning
The Campaign Installation Changes FAQ gives approximate Campaign installation sizes by Xbox model. Updates and additional installed content can change the free-space requirement, so treat these numbers as planning figures rather than permanent storage guarantees.

These figures come from Halo Support’s Campaign Installation Changes FAQ, associated with the June 2023 Season 4 installation change. If your console reports a different requirement, use the value shown by the Xbox installation interface and leave additional headroom for updates.
What the separate assets mean in practice
Campaign and multiplayer remain parts of Halo Infinite, but their installed assets are managed separately. You still enter Campaign through the Play menu. A loading screen between the multiplayer and Campaign menus is therefore an expected part of the mode transition, not evidence that you downloaded the wrong application.
Fix the “No ping to our datacenters” error
The exact message “No ping to our datacenters” indicates that Halo cannot reach an essential server. Halo Support identifies several possible blockers: the router, a firewall, the internet-service-provider network, or a network administrator’s policy. The first remedy is network configuration, not buying new hardware.
Check the network path
- Confirm whether other online services work on the same Xbox connection. If the entire connection is failing, use the broader Xbox-network path in the next section instead of assuming Halo is the only problem.
- Determine whether you control the router or firewall. On a household network, this is usually the person who administers the router; on a school, work, hotel, or managed network, it may be an administrator.
- Ask the administrator or ISP whether UDP port 3075 is blocked. Halo Support identifies that port as required for this error and also refers to the required Xbox ports.
- If you administer the network, allow UDP port 3075 and the required Xbox ports according to the instructions in Halo Support’s “No Ping to Our Datacenters” article.
- Restart Halo Infinite and test matchmaking after the network change.
If you cannot change the network, contact the network administrator or your ISP and specifically request that UDP port 3075 be unblocked. Do not expose or alter additional services at random; the support guidance is to address the documented port and the Xbox requirements.

When a port change does not solve it
Recheck the exact error text and verify that the change was made on the network actually used by the Xbox. A port adjustment cannot repair an Xbox service outage, a disabled account, or a failing internet connection. Move to the service-status and general-network checks if other online functions are also unavailable.
Multiplayer matchmaking will not load
For a match that will not start but does not show the datacenter error, begin with Xbox service status. Halo Support’s Xbox Network and Networking Issues guidance directs players to check Xbox services and then follow Xbox Support’s network troubleshooting. A service incident can look like a local Halo fault, so check it before changing router settings.
Use this order of checks
- Check Xbox service status for an outage or degraded online feature.
- If services are operating, follow the Xbox Support network-troubleshooting path linked from Halo Support’s networking guidance.
- Test whether the problem affects Halo Infinite only or other online games and Xbox features as well.
- For general internet trouble, power cycle the modem, router, and Xbox One as Halo Support recommends, then test the connection again.
- If the issue is limited to a Halo-specific error after the broader checks pass, document the error and move to Halo Support escalation.
Power cycling is intended for a general internet or Xbox-network fault; it is not a substitute for opening UDP port 3075 when the exact datacenter message identifies a blocked path.
Separate an outage from a local configuration problem
An outage typically affects multiple Xbox online functions or many players at once and is reflected in service-status information. A local configuration problem is more likely when other services work but Halo consistently fails on one managed network. Record which tests succeeded, because that information prevents support from sending you through the same checks again.

Halo Support’s site guidance distinguishes faults occurring inside Halo from issues outside the game. Use that boundary when opening a case.

For a Halo bug report, provide reproducible details and attach relevant screenshots or video. Halo Support’s update guidance also emphasizes clear evidence when reporting problems; its Spring Update 2025 patch notes are an example of the support documentation used to track fixed and known behavior.
What to include in every report
- The exact error message, preserving capitalization where possible.
- Whether the issue occurs in Campaign, multiplayer, or both.
- Xbox model and console OS version; find the latter at Settings → System → Console Info.
- The network type and whether another Xbox or online game works on the same connection.
- The sequence that reproduces the problem and what you already tried.
- Screenshots or a short video when the issue is visible on screen.
A safe troubleshooting sequence
Use the following sequence when you are unsure which branch applies. It minimizes unnecessary changes and preserves evidence for escalation.
- Write down the exact message and note whether the failure is Campaign access, Campaign progression, matchmaking, or general connectivity.
- For a repurchase prompt, fully close and relaunch Halo Infinite. If access still fails after repeated relaunches, collect the OS version and contact Halo Support.
- For a Campaign loading or progression issue, consult the current Campaign Known Issues page. Apply only the workaround that matches the listed symptom, and avoid force-closing during active gameplay.
- For “No ping to our datacenters,” investigate the router, firewall, ISP, or administrator path and the documented UDP 3075 requirement.
- For a multiplayer failure without that message, check Xbox service status and follow the Xbox network-troubleshooting route before changing ports.
- If the entire internet connection is affected, use the recommended modem, router, and Xbox One power-cycle step, then retest.
- Escalate to the team responsible for the remaining fault with your reproduction steps and evidence.
This order keeps an entitlement problem from being mistaken for a storage problem, a normal mode transition from being mistaken for a freeze, and a service outage from being mistaken for a router defect.

Stop making local changes when the documented first step has failed and you have enough information to reproduce the fault. A persistent Campaign purchase prompt after complete relaunches needs a Halo Support ticket with the console OS version. A repeatable in-game bug needs a Halo report with evidence. A purchase, account, hardware, or broad Xbox-network failure belongs with Xbox Support, while a blocked port on a managed connection must be handled by the administrator or ISP.
Keeping the symptom, scope, and test results together gives the support team a usable starting point and reduces the risk of corrupting a Campaign save or changing unrelated network settings.
