If a Haunted Floating Festival puzzle in Disney Dreamlight Valley will not progress, first check that the event is active and that the puzzle, clue, and required items are available. Gameloft’s 2026 announcement lists the event as running October 7–31, 2026, but does not confirm a specific progression bug or a universal fix. The official detailed guide is for the 2025 event, so treat its steps as general guidance and follow the objective shown in your current game.
Check whether the event and puzzle are available
Gameloft lists the 2026 Haunted Floating Festival as running from October 7 through October 31. If you are playing outside that window, the event may not be available. Check the official 2026 event announcement for the event dates.

For the 2025 festival, Gameloft documented access through the Plaza portal or, when available, the Festival page’s Teleport control. The guide also says that puzzles can unlock at different times and advises players to return regularly. These are prior-year instructions; use the access options and puzzle availability shown in the current game rather than assuming the 2025 schedule still applies. Recheck the clue and its requirements
Read the exact in-game clue again before repeating interactions. Look for the indicated object or resource on the festival island, and check the Valley too if the clue points there. Gameloft’s 2025 guide notes that some requested items may only appear at night or in special weather, so a missing item may be a timing or condition dependency rather than a broken objective.

- Match the clue to the specific object or resource it names.
- Check whether the item is meant to be collected on the festival island or in the Valley.
- If the clue implies a time or weather condition, revisit when that condition is present.
Make sure the objective registers
Follow the objective’s stated order and check that each interaction has registered in the quest or event interface before moving on. The available official sources do not document an exact sequence for every 2026 puzzle, so avoid relying on a walkthrough step that does not match your current objective text and game state.
Gameloft’s prior-year announcement encourages players to log in regularly, explore the decorated grounds, find clues, and collect resources. That supports checking for an unmet dependency, but it does not establish a specific fix for a current puzzle bug.

When to contact support
If the puzzle is available, you have met its visible requirements, and the objective still will not update, contact Gameloft through the support route linked from its official event guide. Include your platform, the puzzle name, the exact objective text, and what happens when you try the required interaction; these details can help explain the block, though Gameloft does not list them as formal requirements. The event guide also points players to the official community Discord for puzzle tips.
Gameloft has a separate Help Center article about a memory orb falling somewhere unreachable during the Winter Floating Festival. That article says the issue does not completely block event progression, but it concerns a different festival and object, so it is not evidence of a Haunted Festival fix: Winter Floating Festival support article.
