To fix high ping in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB), first find out whether the delay affects the whole connection or only the game. Compare MLBB with another online service, then test one alternative connection if you can. Those checks help narrow down the cause; they do not prove that MLBB’s servers are healthy or establish a global outage.
First, check whether the problem is MLBB or your connection
- Close and reopen MLBB, then restart your device. This gives you a clean starting point without changing network settings.
- Open an ordinary web page or another online service on the same connection. If other apps and sites also struggle, investigate the connection or provider first. If they work normally while MLBB lags or reconnects, the issue may be specific to the game or its route.
- Compare like with like. Keep your device, game mode and approximate test time consistent. Note whether the symptom is steady delay, sudden spikes or repeated reconnects.
A working web page is a useful comparison, not a measurement of MLBB server health. A single player’s symptoms also do not establish that there is a widespread outage.

Compare Wi-Fi with mobile data, if available
Test MLBB on your current connection and then on one alternative, changing only the connection. If the problem changes, that points toward a network-specific issue, but it does not guarantee that one connection will always perform better. Avoid changing several settings at once; otherwise, it becomes harder to tell what affected the result.

On an iPhone, if MLBB works on Wi-Fi but not on cellular, check that cellular data is enabled for the app and that your mobile plan has service. Apple’s connection checks are among the diagnostic steps described in MLBB Updates’ troubleshooting guide.

If only Mobile Legends is unstable, report it with useful details
When other online services work but MLBB continues to lag, spike or reconnect, contact the game’s Customer Service using the in-game button. Include details that can help distinguish a network problem from a game-specific one:
- When the issue occurred, including the time and date
- Your region and whether you were using Wi-Fi or mobile data
- Your device and the game version shown in its app store
- The exact symptom: persistent delay, intermittent spikes or repeated reconnects
- Whether another online service worked on the same connection

Do not assume a VPN or booster will lower ping
A VPN, private DNS change or gaming booster adds another variable to the connection. Player anecdotes do not establish that any of these is a dependable fix. If you choose to test a route-changing service, compare it with your normal connection under similar conditions and change only that one variable. Results can differ depending on routing and distance to the game server; a paid service is not a guaranteed solution.

BlueStacks advice applies only to its emulator matchmaking issue
BlueStacks’ February 27, 2024 support article addresses a Mobile Legends matchmaking error on BlueStacks 5, not high ping on mobile phones. For that specific emulator problem, BlueStacks says to open the game’s Network tab, toggle Speed Mode on and then off, and, if the problem persists, use a Nougat 32-bit instance with ARM. Ping and frame-rate stutter are different problems
This connection-focused troubleshooting can help with delays, spikes and reconnects. It does not diagnose visual stutter or frame-rate drops, which may have a different cause. If the game looks choppy but your online actions and connection remain responsive, do not treat that symptom alone as proof of high ping.
