First, check whether the game is running slowly or whether only online play is affected: they have different troubleshooting paths. On PC, finish the shader warm-up and check the display refresh rate alongside in-game V-Sync. For online play, confirm your internet connection and platform account requirements. The official guidance does not identify a universal input-delay fix or a title-specific router, DNS, or controller remedy.
PC: Fix slow motion or temporary lag first
Let shader warm-up finish
If the game asks whether to perform shader warm-up, allow it to complete. The process can take a few minutes depending on the device. Loaded shaders are intended to help the game run more smoothly, while skipping warm-up can leave shaders loading in the background and cause temporary lag. High CPU use during warm-up should subside when the process is finished. See the official PC notes.
Check Windows refresh rate and in-game V-Sync together
The official PC notes document a specific slow-motion condition: Windows is set to a display refresh rate below 60 Hz, such as 50 Hz or 30 Hz, and the game’s Vertical Sync option is enabled. In that combination, the game runs at the selected refresh rate and the whole game appears in slow motion.
- In Windows, open Settings > System > Display > Advanced display and check the selected refresh rate.
- In MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls, open Options > Graphics Settings > Vertical Sync and check whether it is enabled.
- If the display is set below 60 Hz, choose a suitable available refresh rate or avoid pairing that rate with in-game V-Sync. Then check whether the slow-motion symptom changes.
This documented condition explains slow motion in that setup; it is not established as a general fix for every report of input delay.

Compare offline and online play
Try the symptom in Training Mode or local Versus, both of which are listed as offline modes in the official FAQ, and compare it with an online match. This lets you observe whether the problem also occurs offline; the FAQ does not say this comparison can identify a network, controller, or other specific cause.
Check whether the PC meets the listed requirements
The official FAQ lists these PC specifications. They are stated system requirements, not a guarantee that meeting them will eliminate input delay.

PS5 input lag and controller symptoms
PlayStation says PS5-compatible arcade sticks and leverless controllers can be used, and button inputs can be customized from Character Select or the Pause Menu.
