Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsLow FPS, stuttering, and sluggish controls in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor can have different causes, so first identify which one you are experiencing. On PC, check that your system meets EA’s published requirements, update to the latest game version, then test graphics settings one at a time. No single setting is a guaranteed fix for every PC.
Identify what “lag” means on your PC
Before changing settings, distinguish between the symptoms. That helps avoid treating a control or camera-feel issue as a graphics problem.
- Consistently low FPS: The game looks slow most of the time, rather than having occasional pauses.
- Stutters or hitching: Motion briefly pauses or becomes uneven, even if the average frame rate seems acceptable.
- Mouse-input trouble: The game feels less responsive when using a mouse. EA documented a mouse-input performance fix in Patch 9.
- Sluggish camera or motion feel: A visual effect such as motion blur may affect how movement looks without establishing that the rendered frame rate is low.
The controls and settings below are for the PC version. Console troubleshooting requires platform-specific guidance not covered here.
Check the game version and your PC against EA’s requirements
EA’s published requirements provide a baseline, not a promise of a particular FPS at a particular resolution or graphics setting. The requirements page does not state a target frame rate for either tier. Compare your CPU, GPU, RAM, and storage with the complete list at EA’s Jedi: Survivor PC requirements, accessed in 2026.

| Component | Minimum | Recommended |
|---|---|---|
| Operating system | Windows 10 or newer, 64-bit | Windows 10 or newer, 64-bit |
| CPU | Intel Core i7-7700 (4 cores, 8 threads) or AMD Ryzen 5 1400 | Intel Core i5-11600K (4 cores, 8 threads) or AMD Ryzen 5 1400 |
| RAM | 8 GB | 16 GB |

| GPU | 8 GB VRAM Nvidia GTX 1070 or AMD Radeon RX 580, or better | 8 GB VRAM Nvidia RTX 2070 or AMD RX 6700 XT, or better |
Meeting the minimum tier does not establish that your PC will reach a chosen frame rate. If your system is below a listed component requirement, that is a relevant constraint to consider; if it meets or exceeds the tiers, continue testing rather than assuming the cause is solved.
Also confirm that the game is up to date. EA’s PC patch history includes performance work across multiple releases, so older builds may not include those changes. See EA’s Jedi: Survivor patch notes.

- QHD Resolution (2560 x 1440) has 1.7 times the pixel density of Full HD for incredibly detailed pinsharp images
- HDR10 provides brighter highlights and nuanced shadow for added depth - making every scene feel more vivid and realistic
- The 180Hz refresh rate minimizes lag for gameplay with ultra-smooth action. Plus, the 1ms response time helps capture your moves in real-time, allowing you to react fast for gaming precision
- AMD FreeSync reduces choppiness, screen lag and image tearing, ensuring that your fast-paced, complex in-game action is stable with minimal stutter
- Ergonomic stand allows for tilt, pivot and height adjustments to maximize gaming comfort
Change graphics settings one at a time
Record your current resolution and settings before experimenting. EA’s PC visual settings reference lists resolution, graphics quality, view distance, shadow quality, anti-aliasing, texture quality, visual effects, post-processing, foliage detail, VSync, ray tracing, and AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR). It documents controls and defaults, not one best configuration for all PCs.
- Try a lower resolution or graphics-quality level. Change one setting, then compare the same gameplay conditions. If performance improves, the rendering load may be relevant to your system; that observation does not establish a universal fix.
- Test ray tracing separately. EA lists ray tracing as enabled by default and has documented ray-tracing CPU optimizations in its patch notes. Turning it off for a comparison can help show whether it affects your particular setup.
- Test other settings only as needed. The PC menu also exposes VSync and FSR. Adjust one control at a time, observe the result, and restore it if it does not help.
- For camera feel, inspect motion blur separately. EA lists motion blur as a visual option. Do not assume that changing a visual effect will resolve low FPS or mouse-input performance.
EA says Patch 9 improved frame rates across various hardware configurations and addressed several sources of hitching. Its notes describe “Fixes for several sources of framerate hitching for smoother gameplay.” The same notes mention a mouse-input performance fix, ray-tracing CPU optimizations, and intermittent-crash fixes. Earlier PC updates also addressed content caching and thread handling, while Patch 7 added DLSS support. These are documented changes, not confirmation that a specific remaining issue has a known cause or cure.

- Eye comfort: TÜV Rheinland 3‑star certified display lowers blue light while preserving color quality.
When an SSD upgrade is relevant
Storage is worth investigating if the game’s installation drive does not meet the available-space requirement or the recommended SSD requirement. An SSD is not a general fix for GPU- or CPU-limited FPS, and the published requirements do not establish that a storage change will eliminate stutters.
Before buying a drive, check the computer’s supported interface and physical form factor, as well as the usable capacity available for the game. If the current installation drive already meets the relevant requirement, the sources here do not support recommending a storage purchase as a performance fix.

If the problem persists, collect details before seeking support
There is no single remaining cause established by EA’s published materials for every PC that continues to stutter or run slowly. Gather the details that can make troubleshooting specific:
- CPU and GPU models, plus installed RAM
- Game version
- Resolution and current visual settings
- Whether the problem is consistently low FPS, intermittent hitching, mouse-input trouble, or another kind of sluggishness
- Where and when it happens, such as a particular location or gameplay situation
EA’s support hub links to PC diagnosis and DirectX troubleshooting resources. Follow its current instructions for your system rather than applying generic fixes that may not match the problem.
