Antivirus and firewall
Security software can be worth checking if it has blocked or quarantined a game file. Review its alerts and rules, confirm the game’s installation path, and follow your security vendor’s instructions if you need to allow a specific file. Use administrator launch only as a temporary test
Some general and third-party troubleshooting guidance suggests trying to launch the game as administrator. Treat this as a reversible diagnostic, not a standard requirement: try it once, then return to your usual launch method if it makes no difference. Do not permanently elevate unrelated programs.
If the game starts but still crashes
If the PC is under heavy load, close resource-heavy background applications and retry. This is a low-risk check suggested by the third-party guide, but no game-specific resource threshold or measured performance benefit has been established. If the game reaches a loading screen or gameplay before failing, record exactly where it stops rather than treating it as a failure to launch.
