First check which game you own. EA’s official announcement places Ted Lasso and AFC Richmond in FIFA 23, not automatically in every later EA SPORTS FC release. In FIFA 23, Ted Lasso is a playable Career Mode manager, AFC Richmond can be moved into the Premier League or another playable Career Mode league, and related Ultimate Team content is earned through objectives and challenges. EA’s general missing-item procedures can help when an eligible item or reward is absent from your account, but they do not prove that Ted Lasso or AFC Richmond exists in FC 24, FC 25, FC 26 or FC 27.
Why Ted Lasso or AFC Richmond may be missing
There are two different problems that players often describe with the same words:

- The content is not part of the game being played. EA’s 21 September 2022 announcement specifically identifies FIFA 23 and describes the Career Mode and Ultimate Team implementations there. It does not establish availability in later EA SPORTS FC titles.
- An item or reward that should be on the account has not appeared. This is an account, delivery or retrieval problem. EA Help’s missing-content instructions cover checks for eligible FC items, rewards and purchases.
Do not treat reinstalling a newer game, changing a console setting or searching every menu as a way to unlock a licensed feature that was never announced for that release. Identify the title, platform, mode and exact content first; then use the appropriate path below.
What EA officially included in FIFA 23
Ted Lasso in Career Mode
In FIFA 23, Ted Lasso can be selected as a playable manager in Career Mode. This is a Career Mode feature, not a claim that the character is available as a manager in every subsequent EA SPORTS FC game.

AFC Richmond in Career Mode
AFC Richmond is available as a Career Mode club. EA’s announcement says you can manage the club by swapping it into the Premier League or another league that Career Mode supports. That means the club is used through the league and club-selection flow rather than assumed to be present in every competition by default.
AFC Richmond-related Ultimate Team content
The announcement describes separate AFC Richmond and Ted Lasso-themed Ultimate Team content earned through objectives and challenges. These rewards are different from the Career Mode manager and club. A player looking for a Career Mode club will not find it by searching the Ultimate Team Store, and a player looking for an Ultimate Team reward should not expect a Career Mode menu entry to grant it.
Step 1: confirm the exact game, platform and mode
Before changing anything, write down four details:
- Game title: Is the disc or digital installation FIFA 23, EA SPORTS FC 24, EA SPORTS FC 25, EA SPORTS FC 26 or another release?
- Platform: Record the PlayStation, Xbox, PC or other supported platform and whether the game is a current-generation or older-generation edition.
- Mode: Are you looking for Career Mode, Ultimate Team (FUT), or a purchased add-on or reward?
- Missing object: Is it Ted Lasso as a manager, AFC Richmond as a club, a player or cosmetic item, an objective reward, Points, or a FUT Draft disconnect token?
The confirmed implementation is tied to FIFA 23. EA’s support pages for FC 24, FC 25 and FC 26 provide general missing-content guidance, but their listings do not confirm that Ted Lasso or AFC Richmond is included in those games. Availability in FC 27 is not established by the cited official material either. Treat any claim that a later title contains this content as unverified until EA publishes a current announcement or game-specific source.

Find Ted Lasso as a manager
- Start FIFA 23 and open Career Mode.
- Begin a manager-career setup rather than a player-career setup.
- Open the manager-selection screen and look for Ted Lasso among the available playable managers.
- Continue the setup only after confirming that the selected mode is Manager Career; the manager does not belong in the Ultimate Team manager or Store menus.
If Ted Lasso is absent while you are definitely running FIFA 23, check that you are using the expected edition and that the game has completed its updates. Then close and restart the game and repeat the Career Mode selection path. If the problem is actually a missing account item or purchased content, use the account checks in the later sections rather than assuming a Career Mode menu issue.
Move AFC Richmond into a playable league
- Open a new Manager Career in FIFA 23.
- Use the club-selection or league-setup option that lets you replace a club in a playable league.
- Choose AFC Richmond as the club to insert.
- Select the Premier League or another league that Career Mode allows, then finish the setup.
The club’s announced use is this league-swapping workflow. Looking only in a standard Premier League club list without enabling the replacement option can make the club appear to be missing even when the game supports it.

If you are looking for a FIFA 23 Ultimate Team reward
FIFA 23’s Ted Lasso and AFC Richmond Ultimate Team content was described as objective- and challenge-based content. Open the relevant objectives and challenges in Ultimate Team and check whether the requirement, progress and claim state are complete. A reward that has not been claimed may be in the Club or Store rather than displayed as a new pop-up.
Do not infer that a reward should exist in a later FC title merely because a similarly named objective, player item or cosmetic was available in FIFA 23. The official announcement establishes the earlier game’s content, not permanent entitlement across games.

Use this sequence for a player item, reward or other FC content that you already earned or purchased and that should be attached to the account. It is a troubleshooting procedure, not confirmation that Ted Lasso or AFC Richmond is included in your particular release.
1. Restart Ultimate Team and inspect every holding area
- Exit Ultimate Team completely, close the game if necessary, and start it again.
- Open the Club and Store and look for unclaimed items, packs or rewards.
- Open Transfer Targets and inspect both active and completed targets.
- Check Won Items and Expired Items for an item that was not sent to the location you expected.
Menus can separate an item from the place where you first earned it. A restart also forces a fresh account-content check, but it cannot add content that the game does not support.
2. Allow the transfer-delivery window to pass
EA says a player item that is stuck after a Transfer Market acquisition should be corrected automatically within 72 hours. After that period, check Transfer Targets again. Keep the item’s acquisition time and your time zone; support may need both to identify the transaction.

3. Use Quick Sell Recovery only for eligible quick-sold player items
If the missing player item was quick-sold, open Quick Sell Recovery and check whether it can be restored. EA’s instruction allows recovery of up to five player-item quick sells in a 31-day period, and you must have enough Coins for the recovery. The allowance is a support-system limit, not evidence that a Ted Lasso or AFC Richmond item exists in the game.
4. Recognize items that cannot be restored
EA states that discarded player items and items submitted into a Squad Building Challenge (SBC) cannot be recovered or restored by EA Advisors. Do not spend time reopening cases expecting an SBC submission to be returned; it is outside the stated recovery process.
Purchased content that has not appeared
For paid content, first verify the transaction and account before escalating:
- Restart the system and the game.
- Confirm that the game is signed into the EA Account used for the purchase.
- Check the platform account currently linked to that EA Account.
- Check EA’s service-status information for an outage or delayed delivery.
- Keep the order confirmation or other proof of purchase.
EA’s general missing-content guidance says to contact support with proof of purchase if purchased content is still absent after 24 hours. That 24-hour period applies to delivery troubleshooting; it does not turn an unannounced feature in a later title into an entitlement.
Using the Missing Content Tool
EA’s Missing Content Tool can check eligibility for a grant or replacement for qualifying missing content, Points or FUT Draft disconnect tokens. Eligibility depends on the item and account, and the tool does not promise that a particular licensed character, club or older-game feature will be granted. Use it after the game, account and purchase checks, and describe the exact missing object rather than simply reporting “Ted Lasso is gone.”

When an FC item remains missing after EA’s stated 72-hour check, prepare the details EA asks for:
- What is missing and whether it was earned, transferred or purchased.
- The mode in which it should appear.
- The EA Account email address.
- The platform account ID.
- When the item disappeared or failed to arrive.
- Your time zone.
- The platform and game edition.
These details help support investigate an account record. They cannot establish availability for a title in which EA has not announced the content.

Can buying FIFA 23 solve the problem?
If your goal is specifically the implementation EA announced, a compatible copy of FIFA 23 is the relevant route to investigate. Verify the platform, generation, edition and current listing before purchasing. This is an alternative way to access the earlier announced content, not a repair, code or unlock for EA SPORTS FC 24, FC 25, FC 26 or FC 27.
Buying another game also does not transfer a FIFA 23 Career Mode club, manager or Ultimate Team reward into a later account. Treat each title and mode as a separate availability question.

- Searching the wrong mode: Ted Lasso as announced is a Career Mode manager; AFC Richmond’s club use is also Career Mode; the themed FUT content is objective- and challenge-based.
- Assuming the franchise name is enough: FIFA 23 and EA SPORTS FC releases are separate products. The FIFA 23 announcement does not document later-title inclusion.
- Checking only one inventory screen: unclaimed items may be in Club, Store, Transfer Targets, Won Items or Expired Items.
- Escalating before the delivery window: EA’s stated automatic correction window for a stuck Transfer Market player item is 72 hours.
- Expecting irreversible actions to be undone: EA says discarded player items and SBC submissions cannot be restored by Advisors.
- Reporting without account evidence: support needs the mode, account identifiers, platform, timing and proof of purchase when relevant.
What to tell support
Use a concise report that separates availability from delivery:
Best Value
Game and edition: [exact title and platform edition]
Mode: [Career Mode, Ultimate Team, or other]
Missing content: [manager, club, player item, reward, Points, or token]
EA Account email: [account email]
Platform account ID: [ID]
When it went missing or was earned: [date and time]
Time zone: [time zone]
Checks completed: [restart, Club, Store, Transfer Targets, server status]
Purchase proof: [attached if applicable]For a Career Mode feature in a later title, state that you are asking whether the feature is officially included before describing it as a missing item. That prevents an account-delivery case from being opened for content that may not exist in that release.
Bottom line for each game situation
You own FIFA 23
Use Career Mode for Ted Lasso and AFC Richmond, and use objectives and challenges for the announced Ultimate Team content. If an earned item is absent, apply the EA inventory and recovery checks.
You own a later EA SPORTS FC release
Do not assume the FIFA 23 content is present. The cited official material does not verify Ted Lasso or AFC Richmond in FC 24, FC 25, FC 26 or FC 27. Confirm with a current EA source for the exact title before treating the absence as a bug.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsYou bought or earned an item that should exist
Restart, verify the account and server status, inspect all listed inventory locations, allow the relevant waiting period, and contact EA with the requested identifiers and proof. Quick Sell Recovery is limited to eligible player-item quick sells; discarded and SBC-submitted items are not restorable according to EA’s guidance.
