If your Mobapad M12 Pro will not connect to Switch 2 or a button is not responding, first identify whether the problem occurs over Bluetooth, while wired, in the console’s button test, or only in one game. That distinction points to the next useful check. MOBAPAD lists the M12 Pro as a Switch 2 controller with wired and Bluetooth 5.3 connections, but Nintendo’s published reset and troubleshooting steps are for Nintendo Pro Controllers—not verified M12 Pro procedures.
First identify where the problem occurs
The M12 Pro is a split Joy-Con-style controller designed for Switch 2. MOBAPAD lists both wired and Bluetooth connections. Test one mode at a time, and note whether the trouble affects one side or both.
- Bluetooth only: Focus on whether the controller is paired and on wireless conditions.
- Wired only: Record that the wireless mode behaves differently; the available M12 Pro guidance does not specify a wired troubleshooting sequence.
- Both modes: Check whether the console recognizes button input, then contact MOBAPAD if the fault persists.
- One game only: Check that game’s controller settings and compatibility, and try another compatible game.
MOBAPAD also says the M12 Pro supports native Switch 2 features including wake functionality and the C button. It lists mouse functionality too; consult the latest M12 Pro manual and firmware guidance for details. MOBAPAD M12 Pro product page.
Test whether Switch 2 registers the buttons
- On the console, open System Settings → Controllers and Sensors → Test Input Devices → Test Controller Buttons.
- Press the button or control that seems unresponsive and check whether the screen registers it. Nintendo documents this test for its Pro Controller; it is a useful console-level diagnostic, not a guarantee of M12 Pro-specific behavior. - If the test registers the control but one game does not, check that title’s controller settings and try another compatible game.
- If the test does not register it, note the exact button, which controller side is affected, and whether you tested wired or Bluetooth. Use those details when contacting MOBAPAD.
For Bluetooth pairing or disconnection trouble
Nintendo’s Switch 2 Pro Controller guidance recommends checking that the console system is up to date, confirming pairing, and reducing distance or wireless interference. These are sensible, low-risk checks for a wireless symptom on the M12 Pro, but Nintendo’s instructions are written for its own controller.

- Check for a Switch 2 system update in System Settings.
- Move closer to the console and test again.
- Keep the console in the open rather than behind a television or under metal, and move it away from nearby wireless devices where practical.
- Note whether the controller disconnects in every game or only one, and whether the problem affects one side or both.
Nintendo also describes pressing the SYNC button once and then another button to reset its Pro Controller. Do not assume that sequence applies to the M12 Pro. If the controller will not power on or stay connected
MOBAPAD lists an 800mAh lithium-ion battery and estimates approximately 18–20 hours of use when the vibration motors are not operating; actual battery life varies with settings and vibration use. If the M12 Pro will not power on, check that it has charge. The published information does not establish that battery level causes a particular pairing or connection fault. Check app and firmware guidance carefully
MOBAPAD’s product page says the app is supported on Android and iOS. However, the cited App Store listing specifically describes M12 HD and M12 S support and firmware prerequisites; it does not establish that those versions or procedures apply to the M12 Pro. Do not install firmware intended for another M12 model. Ask MOBAPAD for current M12 Pro-specific app, firmware, and reset instructions if support is unclear.

- Which controller side and buttons are affected.
- Whether the issue occurs in every game or only one title.
- App version and any firmware version displayed.
- The checks you have already tried and what happened.
Do not open the controller or apply another M12 model’s firmware as a troubleshooting step.
