Start with the official account page: sign in using the method tied to your account, download the launcher there, and let it finish patching. If you still cannot get in, identify whether the problem is account authentication, an outdated client, or your network connection before reinstalling or changing settings.
Start with the official login and launcher
- Open the official account login page: Monsters & Memories account login. Choose passkey or email-and-password login, depending on how you set up the account.
- If sign-in fails, use the matching recovery route. If you cannot access your passkey, try email sign-in. If the password is the issue, use the page’s forgot-password option rather than reinstalling the game.
- Download from your account: after signing in, select Download Launcher near the top of the account page. Install the launcher and allow the game to patch before trying to play. The official FAQ describes this as the download sequence: Monsters & Memories FAQ.
Monsters & Memories entered Early Access on October 1, 2026, and its official overview describes ongoing tuning, bug fixes, and content work. A launcher or connection problem during an evolving release does not, by itself, establish that your account or computer is at fault. Check official notices for current service information: Early Access overview.
Launcher will not download, install, or update
“Can’t download launcher” or the site can’t be reached
First try the account page in another browser. If it still fails, check whether other sites load normally and whether your network has a broader connection problem. A community forum thread records an ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED report; users suggested another browser and checking for ISP or regional filtering. One player said a VPN fixed their individual issue, but that is anecdotal—not an official requirement or a guaranteed remedy. Do not treat VPN use as a standard fix; if ordinary checks do not help, contact official support.
Launcher opens but the game is not ready
Let the launcher complete its patch before launching the game. If it appears to retain stale account access, fully log out in the launcher and sign back in. In an earlier beta-access support discussion, a forum responder advised removing the account from the launcher and adding it again, and distinguished that from merely closing and reopening it. This is beta-era community advice, not a confirmed fix for every current Early Access problem.

No servers listed or the server list is still empty
Check two things before assuming the service is down: that your account has current access and that you are running the correct client. The official FAQ lists the Early Access servers, including US West PvE, two US East PvE options, US PvP, US PvE with a three-box limit, and EU PvE. Server availability and population can change, so compare what you see with current official account or game notices rather than treating a missing server as proof of an outage.
If you are using an old community-test installation, an earlier beta discussion advised removing it and installing the build linked in the invitation. Those invitation-specific steps may not apply to your Early Access account. Use your current account page and official notices as the authority; contact official support if the list remains empty after confirming access and client version.

Connection errors and unexpected disconnects
Separate a local network or browser problem from a game-service issue before changing game files. Try the account site in another browser and check whether other services work on the same connection. If the account site and other sites are reachable but the game cannot connect, consult official notices and support rather than relying on old test announcements.
The official notice for the 2025 public stress test warned specifically that players in that technical test could encounter installation failures, networking issues, or unexpected drops. It is historical context, not evidence of a current outage. Likewise, a forum report of an individual connection problem cannot confirm a service-wide failure.

When to contact support
Contact official support if account recovery does not restore access, the official launcher cannot be downloaded after basic browser and network checks, or the server list remains empty with the current client and valid access. Include the exact symptom—such as ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED, a failed password reset, or an empty server list—and note whether the launcher finishes patching. That helps distinguish authentication, client-version, and network-path problems.
