If MY HERO ACADEMIA: All’s Justice crashes on Xbox Series X|S, first install any available game and console updates, fully quit the game, remove its Quick Resume session, then restart the Xbox. The game is officially listed for Series X|S, so an Xbox One compatibility issue is not the expected explanation. These steps are safe first checks, not guaranteed fixes; if the crash persists, use the symptom-based tests below before touching saved data.

Update the game and Xbox first

Start with the game because Bandai Namco has published stability and loading-related updates. Open My games & apps → Manage → Updates, install any update for All’s Justice, and wait until downloading and installation are completely finished before launching it.

Bandai Namco’s latest official update identified here is Ver. 3.00, released May 7, 2026, which says it improves operational stability. Earlier notes also record stability work in Ver. 1.01, stability plus matchmaking and loading fixes in Ver. 2.00, and mode-specific adjustments in Ver. 2.10. Those notes do not promise that every Xbox crash is fixed. The Xbox update screen is the practical authority for the build available to your console and region.

Then check for a console update: press the Xbox button and open Profile & system → Settings → System → Updates. Install anything offered and restart. Labels can vary slightly with system software.

Quit the game and clear its Quick Resume session

A crash after returning to a suspended game is worth testing separately from a crash on a fresh launch. Quick Resume can retain a stale session; removing it is a low-risk diagnostic step, not a confirmed title-specific fix.

  1. Press the Xbox button and highlight MY HERO ACADEMIA: All’s Justice.
  2. Press the Menu button and choose Quit.
  3. If the game appears in the Quick Resume group, open its menu and remove it from Quick Resume.
  4. Launch the game again from the dashboard.

Power-cycle the console if a fresh launch still crashes

A full power cycle can clear a temporary console state. It does not delete installed games or cloud saves. Microsoft distinguishes restarting from shutting down in its restart and shutdown guidance.

  1. Hold the Xbox power button on the console for about 10 seconds, until it turns off.
  2. Unplug the power cable and wait at least 30 seconds.
  3. Reconnect power, turn on the Xbox, and launch the game.

Match the fix to when the crash happens

Note whether the game freezes, returns to the dashboard, shows an error, or shuts down the console. Those are different symptoms. Change one thing at a time so you can tell which test matters.

Symptom Useful next test
Crashes before the main menu Update the game and console, quit and relaunch without Quick Resume, then power-cycle. If the problem remains, proceed to installation checks.
Crashes only after resuming Remove the game from Quick Resume and launch it fresh.
Crashes in one Story Mode chapter or save slot Try another mode, then note the exact chapter and whether the same save triggers it. Do not delete the save as an early test.
Crashes during matchmaking or online play Test single-player or local play. Check Xbox service status and whether other online games connect; the publisher’s Ver. 2.00 notes include matchmaking and loading fixes.
Crashes after entering an in-game code Check for updates and preserve the save until cloud synchronization is confirmed. Publisher notes describe code-related save behavior in some versions.
Only one Xbox profile is affected Test another profile without removing data from the affected one.
Several games crash, or the Xbox powers off Investigate console storage, system software, heat, and power symptoms rather than treating this as only an All’s Justice issue.

The Xbox listing identifies the game as supporting single-player as well as online multiplayer, so an offline mode is a useful comparison. If only online play fails, check Xbox service and support information, NAT/connectivity, and multiplayer privacy settings. Restart a router only if other network symptoms are present; internet trouble alone does not explain a crash in offline Story Mode.

Check the installation location, then reinstall if needed

Make sure the internal SSD has room for the game and its update. If the game is on an expansion card or external device, moving or reinstalling it to internal storage can help determine whether the installation location is involved. Avoid moving it while an update is pending. For a disc copy, inspect the disc and let the installation and update complete; Microsoft also provides disc-installation troubleshooting.

If lower-risk checks do not help, reinstall the game without deleting its saved data:

Uninstalling the game normally does not remove the cloud save, but do not assume a save has synchronized if the console has been offline or synchronization is failing. Reinstalling can replace damaged or incomplete game files; it cannot fix a publisher-side bug or failing console hardware.

Clear local save data only after checking cloud sync

Do this only when you have a reason to test a local save problem. The Xbox Store lists cloud saves for the game, but cloud availability is not proof that your latest progress has uploaded. Connect the console to Xbox services and make sure synchronization has completed before proceeding.

  1. In My games & apps, highlight the game and press the Menu button.
  2. Choose Manage game and add-ons → Saved data.
  3. Select the affected profile, then choose Delete from console.
  4. Relaunch while online and allow the cloud save to synchronize.

Do not select “Delete everywhere” unless you intend to erase the save from both the console and the cloud. That choice can remove progress irreversibly. Clearing the local copy is a troubleshooting test, not a guaranteed crash fix.

When the crash may be a game or console issue

If the crash repeats at the same scene, menu, match, or chapter after updates and a clean reinstall, and other games work normally, the evidence points more toward a title-, save-, or account-specific problem than a general Xbox fault. A shared reproducible issue or one that began after an update is also useful for the publisher to investigate. One crash by itself does not establish hardware failure.

Contact Bandai Namco for a repeatable game-specific problem; contact Xbox Support for console errors, shutdowns, or faults affecting multiple games. Include the console model (Series X or Series S), region and language, physical or digital edition, game version shown in Manage game and add-ons, console OS version, exact mode and location, whether Quick Resume or online play was involved, error code or dashboard behavior, and whether the crash persists offline. A short video can help when the issue is reproducible. Xbox also has an error-code search guide, and Bandai Namco’s official game page is the game-specific destination.

Xbox Series X|S crash checklist

  1. Install available game and Xbox updates.
  2. Quit the game, remove its Quick Resume session, and launch fresh.
  3. Power-cycle the console.
  4. Compare Story Mode, local play, matchmaking, another profile, and another game to isolate the trigger.
  5. Check the installation location; reinstall to internal SSD if needed.
  6. Only test local saved data after confirming cloud synchronization, and never choose “Delete everywhere” by mistake.

MY HERO ACADEMIA: All’s Justice is listed by the Xbox Store as an Xbox Series X|S-optimized title, not an Xbox One game. The listing includes single-player, local and online multiplayer, and cloud saves; online console multiplayer requires an eligible Game Pass plan. A PC storage requirement should not be used as an Xbox storage figure.
