Start by updating No More Room in Hell 2. After that, match the troubleshooting step to the symptom: Torn Banner’s driver advice applies specifically to hitching reported by some PC players using Nvidia graphics cards, while squad-formation failures under certain network conditions were still acknowledged in the September 15, 2026 update notes. Those symptoms do not share one confirmed fix.
Try these checks in order
- Update the game. Install the latest available update, then check whether the problem remains. The September 15, 2026 Resupply (1.1) notes list crash fixes and other improvements. - For Nvidia PC hitching, update the graphics driver. Torn Banner said some PC players with Nvidia graphics cards experienced hitching that appeared to be resolved by updating graphics-card drivers. This is targeted advice for that reported issue, not a guaranteed fix for all stuttering or crashes. See the August 13, 2026 known-issues post.
- For a squad-formation or connection error, check the current issue status. The September 15 notes say squad formation can fail under certain network conditions and that the team is looking for a fix. They do not identify a proven router setting or equipment change that resolves it. Report reproducible cases through the official support channel or the developer’s Discord, including useful diagnostic details.
- Compare your PC with the published minimum requirements. Check the Steam requirements below if performance is poor, but treat them as a baseline—not proof that a component upgrade will fix a particular problem.
Fixes depend on the symptom
No More Room in Hell 2 crashes
A launch-version issue could cause a memory crash when Responders were heavily customized. The developer said it occurred most often in squads and could involve DLC outfits, patterns, or other added data. Its temporary advice was to avoid clothing with logos and patterns. Later update notes list crash fixes, so install current updates before trying that historical workaround. If crashes continue with the game updated, note whether they happen with an ordinary loadout or only after customization, and whether you were playing solo or in a squad. The launch-week known-issues post describes the original problem; the Steam announcements list later updates.
Stuttering or hitching on PC
The specific confirmed troubleshooting lead is for some Nvidia-card users: Torn Banner reported that updating graphics-card drivers appeared to resolve their hitching. If you use another GPU, or driver updating does not help, the available notes do not establish a universal stuttering fix. Check that the PC meets the game’s published requirements, then record when the hitching happens and your GPU model for a support report.
Failed to join squad or can’t join friends
Resupply (1.1), dated September 15, 2026, says the developers were aware of squad-formation issues under certain network conditions and were looking for a fix. This points to an acknowledged game or matchmaking problem, but the notes do not identify which local network condition is responsible or offer a verified player-side setting change. If joining friends fails, make a note of whether it happens consistently, whether you can play solo, and the approximate time and region, then send the details through official support or Discord.

“Server is full,” disconnects, or regional connection problems
Older hotfix notes recorded fixes for a “server is full” error, certain disconnects that could cause some Responders to die, and routing problems affecting some players in particular regions, including continental Asia. These are dated service-side fixes, not evidence that every current connection error has been resolved. The launch-week post also mentioned an Oceanic server added in Australia and matchmaking adjustments for server selection; neither guarantees today’s route or a fix for a different connection problem. Check the developer’s announcement history for dated status updates.
Check the PC system requirements
Valve’s Steam listing gives these PC requirements. They help identify whether a system is below the published baseline, but meeting them does not rule out a game bug or guarantee smooth performance. View Steam’s technical-issue and system-requirements page.

What to include in a support report
The developer specifically asks for reports about squad issues. For any reproducible crash, hitch, or connection error, include details that help distinguish a game defect from a hardware, account, or network-specific pattern:
- Platform and, on PC, relevant hardware such as GPU and memory.
- Installed game version and the exact error text, if shown.
- Your region and approximate time of the problem.
- Whether it happens solo, in a squad, or only while joining friends.
- For a crash, whether it follows a particular Responder customization or occurs during ordinary play.
- For a connection error, what you were trying to join and whether the issue repeats.
Use the official No More Room in Hell 2 news index and Steam announcements to check dated update and known-issue posts. An October 1, 2026 official news entry is a milestone post rather than a newer technical hotfix; the September 15 Resupply notes are the latest technical status described here.
