If Roblox shows “No Network: Please retry when connected to the Internet” on an iPhone or iPad that is already online, first allow Roblox to use the device’s Local Network, then force-close and reopen the app. Next, update Roblox from the App Store. This message does not prove that the whole device is offline; it can result from an app permission, an outdated build, a Roblox service incident, or a network that blocks game traffic.
1. Turn on Local Network access for Roblox
On current iOS and iPadOS, use the permission page Apple documents:
- Open Settings.
- Tap Privacy & Security.
- Tap Local Network.
- Turn on Roblox.

Some software versions also show an app-specific route: Settings > Roblox > Local Network > On. That entry is not present on every device, so use Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network if necessary.

After enabling the permission
- Swipe up from the bottom edge (or use your device’s app switcher) to display open apps.
- Find Roblox and swipe it away to force-close it.
- Open Roblox again and retry the login or game join.
Local Network access concerns interaction with devices on the same local network; it is not a blanket permission for ordinary internet access. It is nevertheless the leading practical fix for the specific iOS/Wi‑Fi symptom documented during the 2024 incident, not a guaranteed explanation for every current occurrence.
2. Update Roblox instead of installing the old 2024 build
Roblox’s incident article identified app version 2.619.0.520 during the 2024 problem and advised users to update and reopen the app. That number is historical, not a current download target: Roblox’s incident-specific support article.
- Open the App Store.
- Tap your account/profile icon.
- Find Roblox in available updates, or search for Roblox directly.
- Tap Update, then open the app.
The U.S. App Store listing showed version 2.727.1204 in August 2026, with reliability and bug-fix updates. App versions change, so use the live listing on the affected device: Roblox on the App Store.

3. Check whether Roblox is having an outage
Before resetting anything, check the official Roblox Status page. Look specifically at the mobile app, games, and game-joining components.
- If Roblox reports an incident, local permission changes may not help until service is restored.
- If systems are operational and only this device fails, continue with the device and network checks below.
- “Operational” is not absolute proof that every region, account, or connection path is working.
4. Test Wi‑Fi, cellular data, and another network
Wi‑Fi test
- Open Safari and load a known website.
- Turn Wi‑Fi off, wait several seconds, and turn it back on.
- Rejoin the network if prompted, then try Roblox.
Apple’s Wi‑Fi guidance recommends confirming Wi‑Fi is enabled, the network has the blue checkmark, Airplane Mode is off, and the device is updated: Apple Wi‑Fi troubleshooting.
Cellular-data test
On iPhone, open Settings > Cellular (or Settings > Mobile Data), ensure cellular data is on, and enable Roblox in the app list. Turn Wi‑Fi off temporarily and test Roblox over cellular.

On a Wi‑Fi + Cellular iPad, use Settings > Cellular Data, enable Cellular Data, and test away from the Wi‑Fi network. Apple’s iPad instructions are available at Connect iPad to the internet.
Interpret the result

5. Restart the app, device, and router
- Force-close Roblox as described above.
- Restart the iPhone or iPad.
- If the problem is limited to home Wi‑Fi, unplug the router briefly, reconnect it, and wait until the network is usable.
- Test another device on that same network.
A router restart cannot repair a Roblox service outage, but it can clear a local connection problem.

School, workplace, hotel, library, and public networks may block game traffic or require browser-based sign-in. A Wi‑Fi icon can appear even when a captive portal still needs terms acceptance or authentication. Family-safety profiles, DNS filters, router rules, VPNs, and security software can also affect Roblox while Safari continues to work.

For a later diagnostic test, temporarily remove VPN or security/filtering software, restart, and test again. Apple specifically discusses this approach in its Wi‑Fi troubleshooting guidance. Removing such software can change device protection and managed settings, so do this only when you understand the consequences or have administrator approval.
Do not change APN values or advanced DNS settings as a first-line fix. Apple warns that incorrect APN changes can break cellular data or create additional charges; follow Apple’s APN guidance and carrier instructions instead.

- Update iOS or iPadOS.
- Open Roblox and retry so it can request permission.
- Return to Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network.
- If Roblox is still absent, restart the device and test another network.
- Continue with the app update, cellular-data check, and other diagnostics.
Restrictions or mobile-device management can also prevent a user from changing privacy permissions. Do not create a Local Network entry manually.
8. Update iOS or iPadOS and verify compatibility
App Store views retrieved in the United States showed conflicting minimum-version information for Roblox (iOS 13.0 in one view and iOS 14.0 in another). Storefront metadata can vary by platform view, region, or cached listing, so do not rely on a universal minimum-version claim. Open the Roblox page on the affected iPhone or iPad and check whether it offers an update or reports an operating-system incompatibility.
9. Reinstall Roblox only after the safer checks
Reinstalling can clear a damaged app installation, but it will not fix a Roblox outage, a blocked network, or an account restriction. It also removes locally cached app data.
- Confirm you know the Roblox username and password or have another working sign-in method.
- Update iOS/iPadOS and Roblox.
- Check Local Network permission and restart the device.
- Delete Roblox, reinstall it from the App Store, and sign in again.
Parental controls and network restrictions remain after reinstalling.

10. Contact Roblox Support with useful evidence
If the error persists, use Roblox support and include the details requested in its incident guidance:
- Roblox username
- Exact message: “No Network: Please retry when connected to the Internet”
- iPhone or iPad model
- iOS/iPadOS version
- Roblox app version
- Steps that reproduce the failure
- Whether it occurs on Wi‑Fi, cellular, or both
- Whether Safari and other apps work
- Whether Local Network permission is enabled
- Whether another Roblox account works
- Country or region and approximate date and time
