Titan Army launches P2710R-Pro 2K Fast IPS gaming monitor with 180Hz refresh rate

Titan Army’s P2710R-Pro was a real August 2024 China launch: a 27-inch 2560×1440 Fast IPS monitor advertised at 180Hz and 999 yuan. Here’s what is confirmed, what remains untested and what buyers should verify in 2026.

Titan Army launched the P2710R-Pro in China on August 3, 2024. It is a 27-inch 2560×1440 (QHD, often called “2K”) Fast IPS gaming monitor advertised with a 180Hz refresh rate and a 999-yuan launch price—approximately $140 at the exchange rate used at launch. The announcement described availability through JD.com in China, not a worldwide release.

Titan Army’s official catalog confirms that the P2710R PRO was a real product. As of August 18, 2026, however, current pricing, production status, international stock and warranty coverage are not established by the available listings.

What launched and when

The launch report from Gizmochina dates the announcement to August 3, 2024. Titan Army positioned the P2710R-Pro as an affordable high-refresh display for PC gaming, with wide-gamut claims aimed at users who also do creative work. The company’s Chinese catalog lists the model as P2710R PRO at titanarmy.com and on an alternate regional page at titanarmy.cn.

The official pages are largely image-based and do not independently expose a complete searchable specification sheet. The detailed figures below therefore remain reported or advertised specifications rather than independent test results.

What 1440p and 180Hz mean for gaming

At 27 inches, 2560×1440 provides a visibly sharper image than 1080p while requiring substantially less rendering power than 4K. A 180Hz panel can show a new frame every 5.56 milliseconds, but the computer must actually render high frame rates to use that capability. Reaching 180 frames per second depends on the GPU, game, quality settings, connection and whether adaptive sync is enabled.

DisplayPort 1.4 is the most plausible route to the full 1440p/180Hz mode on a PC, but the launch material does not publish complete input-timing tables. HDMI 2.0 is not HDMI 2.1 and should not be treated as a 4K high-refresh console interface.

Fast IPS trade-offs

Fast IPS panels generally combine wide viewing angles and better color consistency than budget TN displays with quicker transitions than many conventional VA panels. The usual compromises are lower native contrast, possible IPS glow or backlight bleed, and overdrive artifacts when the fastest response setting is selected. The reported 1000:1 contrast ratio is typical of IPS and makes OLED-like blacks unlikely.

The “1ms” claim

Titan Army’s reported 1ms figure is not identified as GTG, MPRT or a particular overdrive condition. It should therefore be read as a claimed response-time figure, not proof of a 1ms average transition or zero ghosting.

HDR and color claims need caution

The monitor was reported as supporting HDR500 and reaching 500 nits. Those labels do not establish strong HDR image quality. The available information does not confirm local dimming, sustained brightness, black levels, tone mapping or HDR performance at every refresh rate. With a 1000:1 IPS contrast ratio and no confirmed local-dimming system, HDR impact may be limited compared with displays designed for high-contrast HDR.

The 99% sRGB, 100% Adobe RGB, 105% NTSC and 95% DCI-P3 figures describe gamut coverage, not calibration. They do not prove low Delta E, accurate white balance, panel uniformity or suitability for color-critical photography and video work. Creative users should regard the broad-gamut figures as marketing claims until measurements and a calibration report are available.

Ports, ergonomics and console use

  • PC connectivity: Two HDMI 2.0 ports and one DisplayPort 1.4 are listed. Verify the exact refresh limit for each input before buying.
  • Audio: The 3.5mm jack can pass audio from an HDMI or DisplayPort source. Its presence does not confirm built-in speakers.
  • Stand: Height, tilt, pivot and rotation adjustments are reported, and VESA 100×100mm mounting is listed. Adjustment ranges and included hardware are not stated.
  • Consoles: Launch coverage reports 4K 60Hz, VRR and ALLM support. A 4K signal accepted at 60Hz does not make this a 4K monitor; its native panel remains 2560×1440. Exact PS5 and Xbox timing compatibility and the VRR range are unverified.

Price and availability

Titan Army announced a 999-yuan launch price in China, which the August 2024 report converted to roughly $140 at that time. That is a historical launch conversion, not a current US MSRP. The report named JD.com as the sales channel.

JD brand pages still group the P2710R-Pro with other Titan Army models, but the available results do not establish current stock, a live price or international shipping. Buyers should check the exact product page, such as the relevant JD listing, rather than relying on the 2024 price.

Model-name confusion and buyer checks

Titan Army also lists a separate P2710R at titanarmy.com and titanarmy.cn. Retailer pages can place P2710R, P2710R-Pro and later P2710R-series products in the same selection text. Do not assume that specifications for a P2710R2, P2710R2+, P2710S or another suffix apply to the Pro model.

  1. Confirm that the listing says P2710R-Pro or P2710R PRO, not merely P2710R.
  2. Check the delivered price, taxes, shipping and stock status for your country.
  3. Verify whether the warranty and returns are valid outside mainland China.
  4. Confirm local plug and voltage compatibility and whether the included cable supports 1440p at 180Hz.
  5. Ask for the refresh limits over HDMI and DisplayPort, the VRR range and whether HDR works at 180Hz.
  6. Check whether the 1ms specification is GTG or MPRT and whether the panel is 8-bit, 8-bit plus FRC or true 10-bit.
  7. Review dead-pixel policy and replacement-part availability before importing.

Who it made sense for

Potentially good fit

  • PC gamers seeking an affordable 27-inch 1440p upgrade from 60Hz or 75Hz.
  • Players of competitive games whose systems can sustain high frame rates.
  • Users who want a height-adjustable, portrait-capable stand.
  • General creative users who value a wide-gamut image but do not need validated professional calibration.

Reasons to be cautious

  • HDR enthusiasts expecting OLED-level contrast or serious local dimming.
  • Photographers and video professionals who require measured accuracy and uniformity.
  • Buyers needing USB-C video, laptop charging, a USB hub or KVM.
  • US shoppers who require straightforward domestic warranty support.
  • Anyone comparing it with current 2026 monitors using a 2024 launch price as the benchmark.
  • Console buyers who specifically need HDMI 2.1 and high-refresh 4K.

Is the P2710R-Pro still relevant in 2026?

The P2710R-Pro remains a credible example of the budget 1440p/180Hz category, but it should be evaluated as a China-market product launched in 2024—not as a new August 2026 release. Its paper specifications are attractive for PC gaming, while its HDR, color and response claims remain unverified. For an actual purchase, current stock, delivered cost, return rights and regional warranty matter more than the original 999-yuan figure.

Before buying, compare the exact listing with currently available 27-inch 1440p/180Hz monitors and treat any seller’s claims about brightness, calibration or response time as unconfirmed unless independent measurements are provided.
