If Roblox shows mobile controls on your PC, first check what input devices Windows is reporting and whether the issue happens in more than one experience. A touchscreen or touch-capable accessory can be relevant, but it is not a confirmed cause in every case. Try the reversible checks below before changing Windows settings or reinstalling Roblox.
First identify what “on mobile” means
Roblox can look mobile-like for different reasons, and each calls for a different fix. Identify which symptom you have before changing settings:
- Mobile buttons or a joystick inside a game: troubleshoot input detection and compare experiences.
- A mobile-looking roblox.com page in a browser: troubleshoot the browser or its display settings, not in-game controls.
- The Roblox app will not open or connect: use Roblox’s general desktop troubleshooting steps.
Fix mobile controls appearing in a PC experience
1. Test with only your usual PC input devices
Close Roblox, disconnect optional touch-capable accessories such as a drawing tablet, and disconnect a gamepad temporarily. Reopen the same experience and test with a keyboard and mouse. Also check whether the computer has a touchscreen.
Roblox experiences can adapt their interface to the player’s preferred input, as described in the Creator Hub’s mobile input documentation. A Roblox staff member has also explained in a March 2026 developer forum discussion that the interface can react to touch information reported by Windows. That community-forum comment is a useful troubleshooting clue, not proof that a touchscreen explains every case.

2. Isolate touchscreen input only if needed
If the computer has a touchscreen and disconnecting accessories did not clarify the issue, you can temporarily disable the touchscreen in Windows Device Manager, then restart Roblox and test the same experience. This is a diagnostic test inferred from Roblox’s explanation of Windows input signals; it is not a Roblox-prescribed fix or a guaranteed solution.
Disabling the touchscreen removes its normal functionality until you re-enable it. To reverse the test, return to Device Manager, find the touchscreen entry, and choose Enable device. If you are unsure which device entry controls the touchscreen, do not disable entries at random.

3. Check whether it happens in one experience or many
Open another experience and see whether it also shows mobile controls. If only one experience is affected, its own interface or input choices may be responsible: Roblox documents that creators can tailor controls to the preferred input. Check that experience’s settings or control help; Roblox’s in-experience settings and help page explains where to look for those options.
If Roblox will not launch or connect
These steps come from Roblox’s general desktop troubleshooting guidance and address launch or connection problems; they are not a targeted remedy for mobile controls appearing in a working game. Try them in order, testing Roblox after each step:

- Restart the computer.
- Clear temporary internet files.
- Check that your firewall allows Roblox.
- Reinstall Roblox.

If the Roblox website looks like it is on mobile
If the issue is limited to roblox.com in a browser, update the browser, try another supported browser, and check browser security settings and extensions. Roblox lists these as general browser and connection troubleshooting measures in its General Connection Problems guidance. They are separate from the in-game input checks above.

What to send Roblox Support if it continues
If the symptom remains after the relevant checks, report it through Roblox Support. Include the computer model, Windows version, Roblox client version, whether the computer has a touchscreen or touch-capable accessories, the names of affected experiences, and a screenshot. Those details help distinguish an input issue affecting the client from a control layout specific to one experience.
