Then check your PlayStation subscription and connection, and compare the problem with another online game. These checks can narrow down the cause, but none is a confirmed Resistance-specific fix.
What kind of lag are you experiencing?
“Lag” can describe different problems, and the distinction guides what to check first:
- Rubber-banding, delayed actions or disconnections: These point toward investigating the connection path, though they do not identify a specific cause.
- Low frame rate or visual stutter: These are performance symptoms, not necessarily network delay. The available guidance below does not diagnose them.
Also note whether the issue happens in every online game or only in Sniper Elite: Resistance. That comparison helps distinguish a broader connection problem from one that appears limited to this game.
Check multiplayer access, then restart the PS5
The PlayStation Store lists Sniper Elite: Resistance for PS4 and PS5 and says PS Plus is required for online play. Confirm that the account you use has an active subscription before troubleshooting further. Next, restart the console. PlayStation’s general guidance for PS5 connection error CE-105799-1 says: “Restart your PlayStation®5 console, and connect to the Internet using a wired connection as much as possible.” PlayStation Support: PS5 Error Code CE-105799-1. This is connection advice, not a confirmed fix for Resistance.
Test the PS5’s connection
If you can use Ethernet
Connect the PS5 to the router with a wired connection and try the same multiplayer activity again. This gives you a useful comparison with Wi-Fi; it is a test, not a guaranteed cure.

If the PS5 must stay on Wi-Fi
- Move the console closer to the router.
- Remove objects that may interrupt the wireless connection.
- Check for and install available router firmware updates.
These are also general PlayStation connection recommendations. PlayStation Support’s connection guidance does not establish that any one step resolves lag in this title.
Check whether the problem is limited to Resistance
Try another online game and, if practical, return to Resistance after the connection tests. If other online games show similar delay or disconnects, focus on the PS5’s connection. If only Resistance is affected, record the mode, approximate time, symptom and any error message. Make sure the game is up to date, then check Rebellion Support for current notices or instructions for reporting the issue.

The available official sources do not establish a current Resistance-specific PS5 lag bug or a patch or setting that fixes it. That does not prove no advisory exists; check Rebellion’s current support information for updates.
