If the problem is limited to Master Duel, try a wired connection or improve Wi-Fi conditions, and use the exact error code to choose the next step.
1. Check whether the problem is service-side
Before changing console or router settings, check PlayStation Network status and current notices from KONAMI. If a relevant service is down or under maintenance, wait for it to recover and try again. A status check is only a diagnostic; it does not establish that an outage is occurring.
Write down the exact on-screen message or error code. PlayStation’s recommended steps differ by code, so a code-specific support page is more useful than applying unrelated network changes.
2. Test the PS5’s internet connection
- On the PS5, open Settings > Network > Test Internet Connection.
- Check whether the console connects to the internet. If the test fails, address the PS5’s general connection before treating Master Duel as the cause.
- Restart the PS5 and test again. For error WS-114241-3, PlayStation also recommends restarting the router and trying again later if the problem may be temporary. See PlayStation’s WS-114241-3 guidance.
3. Try a wired connection or improve Wi-Fi
Test with Ethernet if available
Connect the PS5 to the router with an Ethernet cable and retry the game. KONAMI recommends broadband for online duels and warns that wireless connections—including Wi-Fi, mobile broadband, and tethering—can become unstable or disconnect during a duel. PlayStation also recommends trying a wired connection for NW-102307-3. This is a useful test, not a guaranteed fix or a requirement to buy equipment. KONAMI’s connection guidance for online duels explains its recommendation.

If you need to stay on Wi-Fi
- Move the PS5 closer to the router and reduce walls, doors, or other obstructions between them.
- Consider interference from nearby devices, including microwave use on the same frequency, and reduce competing network activity where practical.
- If the connection is worse at busy times, retry later; household and broader network congestion can affect wireless stability.
These adjustments can help identify or reduce Wi-Fi instability, but they cannot rule out a service, router, or ISP problem.
4. Restart network equipment and escalate by error code
Restart the modem and router, then reconnect the PS5. For NW-102307-3, PlayStation’s instructions say to wait at least five minutes before restarting the equipment. If the issue continues, PlayStation advises asking the ISP or network administrator about router firmware or port filtering. See PlayStation’s NW-102307-3 guidance.

The cited guidance does not provide a Master Duel-specific port list. Don’t forward ports indiscriminately or assume a DNS change, factory reset, or reinstall is an established fix for this problem.

If the PS5 connection test succeeds and other online services work, check for a Master Duel update and current KONAMI notices for your region. Use the support channel for your region; support routes are not necessarily the same everywhere. For example, KONAMI’s Asia support page directs Master Duel inquiries to in-game customer service, but that instruction should not be assumed to apply in every region.
