Generate a Path of Titans server token at Alderon Games’ hosting-token page. Sign in with an Alderon Games account that owns or can access Path of Titans, select Generate New Token, and copy the token immediately. It is shown only for that session. Stop your server, enter the value in your hosting panel or startup command, save the configuration, and restart the server.
The complete process
- Open https://alderongames.com/oauth/hosting-token.
- Sign in with an Alderon Games account that owns Path of Titans or has access to it.
- Choose Generate New Token.
- Copy the entire value before navigating away or refreshing the page.
- Stop the Path of Titans server, place the token in its configuration, save the change, and restart the server.
The same token is not displayed again after you leave or refresh the page. If you close the page before copying it, generate another token and use the new value.

What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
What you need before generating a token
- An Alderon Games account that owns or has access to Path of Titans. An account without game access cannot authenticate the server tools.
- Access to the server’s control panel, startup script, or operating-system environment settings.
- A safe place to paste the token temporarily. Treat it as a password; do not put it in screenshots, public logs, forum posts, or support tickets that anyone can read.
- The server stopped before you edit its startup configuration. Editing a live process does not change the arguments it was launched with.
Generate the token on Alderon Games
1. Open the hosting-token page
Go directly to https://alderongames.com/oauth/hosting-token. Visitors who are not authenticated are redirected to the Alderon Games sign-in page. Complete the sign-in flow and return to the hosting-token page.
2. Confirm the account has game access
The server tools authenticate against the Alderon Games platform. The account can be a personal account or another account that has access to the game; it does not have to be the account that originally created your server installation. If the page repeatedly returns you to sign-in, check that you used the intended account and that it can launch or otherwise access Path of Titans.

- Move your hero from location to location to gather the cards you need to stop the Titans!

3. Generate and copy
Select Generate New Token. Copy the complete string, including its beginning and end, and store it in a password manager or another restricted location until you have entered it in the server configuration. Do not assume you can retrieve the same value later: leaving the page or refreshing it prevents the value from being displayed again.
Where to put the token
The correct entry point depends on how you operate the server. Stop the server first, then use one of these methods.
| Deployment method | Where the value goes | Required name or option |
|---|---|---|
| Managed hosting panel | The panel’s Path of Titans startup or authentication field | Auth Token (label capitalization can vary) |
| Windows batch startup | The command that launches PathOfTitansServer |
-AuthToken=... |
| AlderonGamesCmd update or install | The command that downloads or updates server files | --auth-token ... |
| Environment-variable setup | The operating system’s environment settings | AG_AUTH_TOKEN |
Managed hosting panel
Open the server’s configuration or startup page, locate the field named Auth Token, and paste the full token without quotation marks unless the panel specifically requires them. Save the configuration, then use the panel’s restart control. A panel may hide the value after saving; that is normal if the server starts successfully. If the panel has both an update/install area and a startup area, enter the token wherever the panel asks for authentication rather than only in a general notes field.

- FINISHING TASKS IS A BIT MORE EXTREME WHEN YOU'RE A SUPERHERO: The Teen Titans have a lot to do during the day. To get everything done, they have split into two teams. Even though it didn’t start as a contest to see who could get everything done first, the gauntlet has been thrown down and if it means a little playful combat, so be it.
- COMBAT STRATEGY BOARD GAME: Teen Titans GO! Mayhem puts players in the role of the Titans as they go around the city trying to complete missions and gain VPs. Of course, completing the missions isn’t the only one way to gain VPs. They can also KO one-another to speed up their victory!
- ACTION-PACKED FIGHTING GAME: Teen Titans Go Mayhem is built around the "Mayhem System", a system for character vs. character team-based combat in which the most direct method for a team to gain VP is by KOing their opponents.
- CHALLENGING AND COMPETITIVE: Each Titan has their own hero dashboard with their own unique style and special moves to utilize throughout the game. Roll the Mayhem die and see just how much damage can be done in this winner-take-all contest. The player that gets to 5 VPs first is the winner.
- NUMBER OF PLAYERS AND AVERAGE PLAYTIME: This fun combat strategy board game for adults and kids is made for 2 to 4 players and is suitable for ages 10 and older. Average playtime is approximately 30 minutes.
Windows Start.bat or another startup script
In a Windows batch file, add the token to the server executable’s argument list with -AuthToken=. A typical start command is:
PathOfTitansServer-Win64-Shipping.exe -Port=7777 -BranchKey=production -AuthToken=%AG_AUTH_TOKEN% -ServerGUID=<your-guid> -Database=Local
This example uses the AG_AUTH_TOKEN environment variable rather than placing the long token directly in the batch file. If you choose to put the literal token in the command, replace %AG_AUTH_TOKEN% with your own value and keep the value private. Replace <your-guid> with the GUID assigned to your server; do not copy a placeholder literally.
Updating or installing files with AlderonGamesCmd
The command-line downloader and updater also require authentication. On Windows, a typical production-branch update command is:

AlderonGamesCmd-Win64.exe --game path-of-titans --server true --beta-branch production --auth-token %AG_AUTH_TOKEN% --install-dir C:Server1
The --auth-token option is for AlderonGamesCmd. It is separate from the server executable’s -AuthToken option, so a setup that updates files and then launches the server normally needs the token available to both commands.
macOS or Linux command-line setups
The Alderon command-line tooling also documents macOS and Linux workflows. Use the same conceptual options: pass the token to AlderonGamesCmd with --auth-token, pass it to PathOfTitansServer with -AuthToken, or expose it through AG_AUTH_TOKEN. The syntax for setting and expanding an environment variable differs by shell, so use your operating system’s environment configuration rather than copying Windows’ %AG_AUTH_TOKEN% notation into a Unix shell.
Why use AG_AUTH_TOKEN instead of pasting the token into a command?
The hosting documentation describes the credential as a long JSON Web Token. Windows command lines have a 1,024-character limit, so a literal token combined with a long installation path and other options can exceed that limit. Storing the value in AG_AUTH_TOKEN keeps the command shorter and lets both the updater and server start command reference the same secret.

- Set the environment variable in the account or service context that actually runs the server. Setting it only for your interactive login will not help a service running under another account.
- Use the variable in the updater as
--auth-token %AG_AUTH_TOKEN%on Windows. - Use the variable in the server launch command as
-AuthToken=%AG_AUTH_TOKEN%on Windows. - Restrict access to the environment settings and startup files, because anyone who can read them may be able to use the token.
Save, restart, and verify
- Stop the running server process or use the hosting panel’s stop control.
- Paste or reference the token in the appropriate field, script, command, or environment variable.
- Save the file or panel configuration. Check that the value was not truncated by a character limit or accidentally pasted with a line break.
- Start or restart the server.
- If you also update server files, run the authenticated
AlderonGamesCmdcommand before launching the executable. - Check that the update process completes and that the server process remains running after startup. A process that exits immediately usually indicates a command, account, or credential problem rather than a token that merely needs more time.
Do not publish startup logs while troubleshooting until you have removed or redacted the token. Command lines and environment dumps can expose it even when the hosting panel masks the field.
Token replacement, loss, and revocation
Generating a new token revokes older tokens. This is important when one credential is shared by several servers: replacing it can disconnect every server still using the previous value.
If you lost the token
- Generate a new token at the hosting-token page.
- Stop every server that used the old token.
- Replace the old value in each panel, startup script, updater command, or
AG_AUTH_TOKENsetting. - Save the changes and restart each server.
If the token was exposed
Assume the credential is compromised if it appeared in a public screenshot, repository, log, chat, or forum post. Generate a replacement immediately, then update every dependent server. Removing the public copy does not restore the old token’s security, and the replacement will invalidate the exposed value.

Troubleshooting common failures
| Symptom | Likely cause | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| The hosting page keeps redirecting to sign-in | No active Alderon session or an account without Path of Titans access | Sign in again with the account that owns or can access the game, then reopen the hosting-token URL. |
| The token disappeared after refreshing | The page intentionally does not redisplay the same token | Generate a new token and copy it before leaving the page. |
| The updater reports an authentication failure | The token was omitted, truncated, expired through replacement, or passed to the wrong option | Use --auth-token with AlderonGamesCmd, confirm the complete value, and make sure no newer token has revoked it. |
| The server executable starts but cannot authenticate | The launch command lacks the server executable’s required option | Use -AuthToken=... with PathOfTitansServer; the updater’s --auth-token option does not replace it. |
| The Windows command is rejected or behaves unpredictably | The combined command exceeds the 1,024-character command-line limit | Move the token into AG_AUTH_TOKEN and reference the variable instead of embedding the long JWT. |
| Several servers stopped working after one credential was changed | Generating a new token revoked the old one | Update every server and every automated update job with the replacement token, then restart them. |
| A panel appears to save the token but the server still fails | The value was entered in a notes field, an update-only field, or a stopped configuration was never restarted | Use the panel’s actual Auth Token field, save, and perform a full stop/start or restart. |
| Authentication works manually but not as a service | The service runs under a different account or environment | Set AG_AUTH_TOKEN where the service can read it, or update the service’s startup configuration directly. |
Understanding the two command-line flags
| Component | Flag | Purpose | When it is needed |
|---|---|---|---|
AlderonGamesCmd |
--auth-token |
Authenticates downloads and updates of server files. | Whenever the command installs, downloads, or updates the server. |
PathOfTitansServer |
-AuthToken |
Authenticates the running server process. | Whenever the server executable is launched. |
| Environment | AG_AUTH_TOKEN |
Stores the credential so both commands can reference it without embedding the long value. | Useful for scripts, services, and Windows command-length constraints. |
Using one flag in the wrong command is a common configuration error. The updater and the running server are separate programs, and each expects its own option name.

| Consideration | Self-hosting | Managed hosting |
|---|---|---|
| Control over commands | You edit batch files, service definitions, environment variables, and update commands directly. | The provider exposes fields and controls; direct command-line access may be limited. |
| Token entry | Use -AuthToken, --auth-token, or AG_AUTH_TOKEN. |
Usually paste the value into an Auth Token field. |
| Restart and update automation | You schedule and troubleshoot the updater and restart process. | The panel may combine update, start, stop, and restart actions. |
| Operating-system responsibility | You maintain the Windows, macOS, or Linux host and protect its files and environment. | The provider maintains the host; you still protect the token and account. |
| Support burden | You diagnose command syntax, permissions, services, and logs. | You can use the provider’s support channel for panel or host issues, while token validity remains an Alderon account matter. |
| Price or performance | Not established by the available documentation. | Not established by the available documentation. |
If you want direct control over scripts and operating-system settings, self-hosting exposes every token option. If you prefer a form-based workflow and provider-managed restarts, a managed Path of Titans server-hosting plan can reduce command-line work; verify its current token field, update process, and support terms before committing.
Quick Recap
Security checklist
- Copy the token only over a private connection and paste it into a restricted panel or file.
- Never include the token in screenshots, public issue reports, repositories, chat messages, or unredacted logs.
- Prefer
AG_AUTH_TOKENfor long-lived scripts when it is protected by the service account’s permissions. - Redact both the literal token and expanded command lines before sharing diagnostics.
- After generating a replacement, update every server and automation job that used the previous token.
- If exposure is suspected, rotate the token first and investigate the affected host afterward.
Final verification checklist
- The signed-in account has Path of Titans access.
- A newly generated token was copied before the page was refreshed or closed.
- The old server process was stopped before configuration changes.
- The token is in the panel’s Auth Token field, the server’s
-AuthTokenargument, the updater’s--auth-tokenargument, or theAG_AUTH_TOKENenvironment variable. - Any placeholder GUID or path in an example command was replaced with your own value.
- The configuration was saved and the server was restarted.
- Every server using a revoked token was updated after rotation.
