To get your first car in Lumber Tycoon 2, buy the Utility Vehicle at Wood R Us. Take its box back to your plot, unpack it, and place the vehicle spawner. Check the shelf price in game before you set a budget: published guides disagree on the current cost.
What car should you buy first?
Look for the Utility Vehicle, the starter vehicle described by community guides. It is sold at Wood R Us near the starting area.
How to buy and place the Utility Vehicle
- Own a plot and have enough in-game money. One community wiki search excerpt says players need land and at least $400, but that figure is only a planning estimate, not a confirmed current price.
- Go to Wood R Us. Find the boxed Utility Vehicle in the store.
- Take the box to the cashier. The community wiki excerpt names the cashier Thom; bring the box to the counter and complete the purchase.
- Return to your plot with the box. Unpack it there and place the vehicle spawner. A vehicle appears when the spawner is placed for the first time.
- Use the spawner on your plot when you want access to the vehicle.
How much does the Utility Vehicle cost?
The available secondary sources conflict. A September 2026 vehicle guide and a Fandom search excerpt report about $400, while another guide updated September 19, 2026 reports $1,400. These are not reliable enough to treat as the live price. Check the price displayed on the Wood R Us shelf in your game before budgeting. The Roblox game listing identifies the experience as a game by Defaultio but does not publish vehicle prices.
What if you want a larger vehicle?
Community vehicle guides describe larger trucks and trailers at Boxed Cars in the Safari, which requires bridge access. They are later options rather than the recommended first car; confirm their prices in the game before saving for one. When comparing upgrades, consider the in-game price, cargo capacity, the terrain and route you need to travel, and any respawn cost.
Crashes, No Sound, or Screen Glitches?
