Whether you can get a Roblox account back depends on what “deleted” means. If you deactivated it yourself, Roblox says you can reactivate it by logging in. If you requested account deletion and it has been completed, Roblox’s guidance does not describe a way to reverse it. Moderation and hacking require different recovery steps.
First, identify what happened to the account
| What happened | What to try | Time limit |
|---|---|---|
| You deactivated the account | Log in to Roblox.com to reactivate it. | Roblox says you can reactivate it at any time by logging in. |
| You requested deletion | Roblox describes deletion as a privacy request, but does not explain how to reverse a completed deletion. | Not stated by Roblox Support. |
| Roblox disabled or terminated the account | Appeal using the method in the moderation notice. | Submit an appeal within 30 days of the moderation action. |
| Someone hacked or took over the account | Secure your device, try account recovery, and contact Support if you cannot regain access. | Contact Roblox within 30 days of the compromise to seek help with lost items or currency. |
Roblox’s deactivation and deletion guidance distinguishes deactivation from a deletion request. Deactivation disables the account and hides its profile; a deletion request is handled through privacy settings, with identity verification and a verified email address required.
Reactivate an account you deactivated
- Go to Roblox.com and try logging in with the account’s username and password.
- If login succeeds, the account is reactivated.
- If you cannot log in, use the “Forgot Username or Password” recovery flow and try the email address or phone number associated with the account.
Roblox says a deactivated account can be reactivated “at any time by logging into Roblox.com.” That does not establish that a completed deletion request can be undone.
If you requested account deletion
Roblox’s guidance explains how to request deletion and says the company takes steps to verify identity before fulfilling it. It does not describe a recovery or reversal process once deletion is complete, so do not assume that logging in or contacting Support will restore the account. If you are unsure whether you deactivated the account or submitted a deletion request, first try logging in; for an inaccessible account, use the recovery steps below.

If Roblox moderated or terminated the account
- Find the moderation notification and check which appeal route it provides.
- If the violation is eligible and appears in Violations & Appeals, submit the appeal there. If it is not listed, Roblox directs users to its Support form.
- Include the account username and a brief explanation of why you are appealing.
- Submit within 30 days of the moderation action. Roblox says, “Submitting an appeal does not guarantee the consequence will be removed.”
Use the instructions in the notice rather than assuming every moderation decision has the same appeal option. Roblox’s appeal guidance sets the 30-day deadline and explains that review may not change the outcome.
If the account was hacked or taken over
Secure your device and account
- Remove suspicious downloads and browser extensions from outside Roblox.
- Run a full malware scan.
- Reset the Roblox password and enable 2-Step Verification after regaining access.
Recover access and verify ownership
- Try the password-reset flow with the email address or phone number associated with the account.
- If password reset does not restore access, contact Roblox Support and explain that the account was compromised.
- Be ready to provide the first email address added to the account or the billing email used for the first payment. Roblox says either may help verify ownership even if the account email was changed, but providing one does not guarantee recovery.
Roblox does not guarantee that it can restore an account to its previous state or recover virtual items or currency lost in a compromise. For help with lost items or currency, contact Roblox within 30 days of the compromise. See Roblox’s hacked-account guidance for its security and recovery recommendations.
