Search Residential areas in ARC Raiders, check containers and loose loot, then extract with the Dog Collar for Scrappy’s workshop upgrade. Buried City and Spaceport are useful places to start, but no listed spot guarantees a spawn.
Where to search for a Dog Collar
The Dog Collar is listed as a rare recyclable item found through scavenging in the Residential loot category. Search residential buildings and inspect both containers and items lying out in the open. Guides recommend these map locations:
- Buried City: Try Grandioso Apartments, Red Tower, Santa Maria Houses and Plaza Rosa.
- Spaceport: Search Residential areas and their containers.
- Blue Gate: Check Raider’s Refuge, Village and Ruined Homestead, northwest of Ancient Fort.
- Dam Battlegrounds: Look through Ruby Residence and Palm Apartments.
These are suggested search areas, not confirmed or guaranteed spawn points. In buildings, check bins, cupboards and wardrobes, and look for loose loot on furniture such as desks. [PC Gamer’s location guide; Dot Esports’ location guide]
Keep the collar for Scrappy
One Dog Collar is required for the Scrappy I to Scrappy II workshop upgrade. Scrappy is the rooster companion who gathers materials while you are away on raids; upgrading him increases the materials he can gather. The item is also recyclable, but recycling it yields 8 Fabric and 1 Metal Part, while salvaging yields 5 Fabric. Either choice uses up the collar you need for the upgrade. Secure it and extract
- Track Scrappy’s training requirement so the game marks the Dog Collar when you find one.
- Put it in a safe pocket if available. This reduces the chance of losing it if the raid goes badly.
- Extract with it and use it for the Scrappy upgrade instead of recycling or salvaging it.
