You can’t apply for Roblox’s blue Verified Badge. Roblox says eligible creators are notified and awarded the badge automatically, in a monthly process; after meeting the criteria, it may take up to a month to appear. The route depends on whether you’re a brand or public figure, an experience developer, or an avatar-item creator.
Which Roblox Verified Badge route applies to you?
Roblox’s current Verified Badge FAQ sets different notability criteria for different creator types. The November 2025 update clarifies the experience-developer route.
| Account type | Notability requirement | Where to start |
|---|---|---|
| Brand or public figure | Be part of Roblox’s Video Stars program. Additional criteria may apply. | Contact your Roblox partnership representative. Roblox’s Brand Partnerships team makes the final decision. |
| Experience developer | Own an experience with more than 1 million playtime hours in the last 90 days, or receive at least a 10% recurring automatic group payout from that specific experience. | Check the experience’s playtime and payout setup. Manual or direct payments do not qualify for the contributor route. |
| Avatar-item creator | You or your group must have at least 2 million Robux in revenue and at least 200,000 items sold in the last 90 days. | Confirm both thresholds for the relevant creator or group. |
These are not standalone guarantees of a badge. Roblox also checks account authenticity, security, activity, and compliance.
What account requirements apply to every route?
- Verify your identity: Roblox requires ID verification as an authenticity check. Its documented government-ID process is for users aged 13 or older and requires a government-issued photo ID and a mobile-device camera. See Roblox Creator Hub’s account verification guide.
- Enable Authenticator: Roblox requires Authenticator to be enabled on the account.
- Stay active: The account must have been active on Roblox within the last 180 days.
- Follow Roblox rules: The account must comply with Roblox’s Community Standards and Terms of Use.
ID verification does not itself grant the blue badge; it satisfies an authenticity requirement. Roblox also distinguishes the Verified Badge from identity-verification markers on Talent Hub.

How does the automatic award process work?
- Identify the notability route that fits your account and meet its threshold.
- Complete the account requirements: ID verification, Authenticator, recent activity, and policy compliance.
- Wait for Roblox’s eligibility review and monthly badge issuance. There is no public creator application form; qualifying creators are notified by Roblox.
Roblox considers multiple factors, so reaching a numerical threshold does not promise an immediate award. For experience developers, the current contributor rule is based on a recurring automatic payout of at least 10% from the qualifying experience; co-ownership without that payout does not meet the contributor route. Roblox explains the change in its November 2025 experience-contributor update.
What the blue checkmark means—and what it doesn’t
Roblox describes the Verified Badge as a visual way to identify notable and authentic creators, developers, groups, and off-platform figures. It indicates that Roblox confirmed the account belongs to the represented person or group and meets its notability criteria; it is not an endorsement. Roblox’s launch explanation is in “Introducing the Verified Badge!”.

The badge does not improve search or recommendations for new or unverified creators, according to Roblox. It is not a discoverability requirement.
The genuine badge appears next to an account name in Roblox locations such as profiles and search. A checkmark placed in a bio or image is not an official badge; Roblox grants the badge itself.

Don’t confuse it with other kinds of verification or badges
- Account ID verification confirms identity for platform purposes; it is one condition that can support badge eligibility, not the blue badge itself.
- Experience achievement badges are rewards game creators make for accomplishments inside an experience. They are separate from profile verification; see Roblox’s guide to experience badges.
What can remove a Verified Badge?
Roblox says changing a username or display name, disabling Authenticator, or changing a group’s name or owner can automatically remove the badge. Serious or repeated violations of Roblox rules—including intellectual-property infringement—can also lead to revocation. Selling or spoofing badge status can result in removal, ineligibility, and potentially moderation action.
If Roblox removed a badge for a non-policy reason, the account holder can contact Roblox Support to request reinstatement after meeting the listed account conditions, including enabling Authenticator and completing ID verification. Roblox also says DevEx processing and the bank account used for DevEx do not affect eligibility; the qualifying percentage is the automatic payout from the specific eligible experience.

What if you don’t qualify yet?
Focus on the route that matches your work and keep the account in good standing. For experience developers, that means meeting the qualifying experience playtime threshold and, if you are not the owner, receiving the required recurring automatic group payout from that experience. For avatar-item creators, both revenue and item-sales thresholds apply. Roblox does not say that paying a third party, buying a checkmark, or submitting an ordinary application can replace these criteria.
