In Dune: Awakening, you get an ornithopter by progressing through the game and crafting the vehicle; it is not described as a simple early-game pickup. The official pages do not give a current first-ornithopter recipe, so check your in-game progression and vehicle-crafting menus for the live prerequisites. If you mean a physical model, LEGO’s Dune Atreides Royal Ornithopter is set 10327—a separate buildable replica, not a game unlock.
Getting an ornithopter in Dune: Awakening
The official Dune: Awakening site describes building a stronghold, crafting items, and crafting vehicles, including an ornithopter. Its game overview says, “Build your stronghold, craft your ornithopter.” That means the route is progression followed by vehicle crafting, rather than finding a ready-to-use aircraft as an early pickup.
The game team’s Communinet Signal #6 says, “As you progress into the deserts of Arrakis, you’ll unlock a variety of vehicles to help with your survival and control over spice.” Use the current in-game progression and vehicle-crafting menus to see what your character has unlocked and what the game currently requires. The official pages cited here do not establish the exact technology unlock, crafting location, machine, or component recipe for a first ornithopter; recipes and progression can also change with updates.
Light and carrier ornithopters
The game’s official news distinguishes light ornithopters, described as suited to speed and scouting, from carrier ornithopters, described as transport vehicles. These are different vehicle roles; the published material does not establish performance figures or a specific unlock order.

Don’t confuse a cosmetic with the vehicle
The Blue Dasher Ornithopter Swatch is an edition-related color cosmetic, not an ornithopter unlock. Funcom’s help center gives this customization route: “Equip the Welding Torch -> Point to the vehicle -> Customize.” The swatch changes a vehicle’s appearance; it does not give you the vehicle itself.
If you mean a physical Dune ornithopter
LEGO’s catalog lists the Dune Atreides Royal Ornithopter building set, number 10327. It is a physical replica with foldout, flappable wings, deployable landing gear, and eight film minifigures. It is a build-and-display set, not an entitlement for Dune: Awakening. Current price and stock can vary by retailer.
