Best Soul Strike characters in the October 2026 tier list
Pocket Gamer’s tier list, updated October 4, 2026 for version 3.2.6, places the following characters in S tier: Charlotte, Zeros, Aiyo, Laurent, Howard, Chocolat, Hannia, Yeonhwa, Lumiel, Gestella, Zion, Ijin Yu, 003, Yeo-un Cheon, Avalanche, Sayah, Jiwoo Seo, Grandis, Rebecca, Chodan, Magenta, Scarlet, Edward Elric, Ignis, Eve, Alphonse Elric, Artamiel, Munkyu, Riza Hawkeye, Roy Mustand, Ran, Yuna, Felino, Sophia, Baine, Vivet, Vivian, Jayna, Mona, Duke, Violet, Mina, Delia, Inabelle, Wraith, and Versper. See the full tier list for the other tiers and character details. Check names and rankings against the current in-game roster: both can change.
The list’s author says the rankings draw on personal experience and community information, and cautions that no tier list is absolute. The author describes S-tier companions as performing well into later stages, while A-tier companions depend more on team synergy and can still serve as supports or damage dealers. Treat those as the author’s assessments, not a guarantee that a character will be best for every player or mode.

- Element: Compare the character’s listed element with the rest of your team and the encounter you are facing. The tier list includes element information, but does not establish detailed mode-by-mode rankings.
- Team synergy: A character’s usefulness can depend on how their abilities complement other companions. The tier-list author specifically notes that A-tier characters may rely more on synergy.
- Progression stage: The list’s S-tier description refers to performance through later stages. Consider whether its ranking matches where you are now, rather than assuming it applies equally to every point in progression.
How to get Soul Strike companions
Summons and events are documented ways the game has offered companions, but the cited example is an older event and does not confirm that any particular reward or banner is active on October 4, 2026. Check the in-game event page or official notices before spending resources or planning around a character.
Summons and pickup banners
In a past Hyper Burning update, Com2uS Holdings described a customizable pickup summon that let players select three desired companions. The same update said collaboration companions, skills, and relics from Zenonia and Summoners War were available again through pickup summons. Named examples included Zenonia’s Legrid and Summoners War companions Artamiel, Vanessa, Anabel, and Tiana. This is evidence of a historical rerun, not a promise that those companions or banners are currently available. Read the publisher update for its description of that event.
Attendance rewards and selection tickets
The same Hyper Burning update listed a seven-day attendance event with a “Master PICK!” random companion summon ticket and a Mythic companion selection ticket. The selection ticket was tied to companions selected by community voting. Because this was a dated offer, check current official notices to see whether a similar event or reward is live in your region.
