You can get an ARC Raiders Camera by crafting a Basic Camera at a Workbench, finding one in loot, buying one from Shani, or receiving one through Celeste’s “Sizing Things Up” quest. To take a picture, assign the gadget to Quick Use, hold Q to select it, aim with the right mouse button, then click the left mouse button.
How to get a Camera
The Camera is an in-game gadget introduced with the Frozen Trail update. It comes in Basic and Advanced versions. These acquisition routes and controls are reported in guides published October 8, 2026, shortly after its introduction, so check the live game for changes.
Craft a Basic Camera
At a Workbench, craft the Basic Camera with one Wire and eight Plastic Parts, according to Destructoid’s guide. The guide says Wire can be found in Electrical areas or salvaged from some materials and ARC tech; Plastic Parts can be found in various loot.
Find one, buy one, or get one from a quest
Beebom reports that Cameras can appear in loot containers, that Shani sells them, and that Celeste provides one for “Sizing Things Up.” The same guide lists prices of 1.9K coins for Basic and 3K for Advanced. Prices and stock can change, so confirm them in Shani’s current vendor interface before spending coins. Beebom also reports that you can take a Camera from a Raider carrying one.

Using the Camera for “Sizing Things Up”
Celeste’s “Sizing Things Up” quest includes an objective to photograph the Emperor’s leg by the bridge outside Old Town. The quest also lists an optional crashed-probe task near Almatera Station and an objective to analyze the exposed area on top of the Emperor’s leg near Railroad Junction. Its page says two of the three objectives are required; check the wording in your quest log, since the community quest wiki may be updated.
Rank #2
For a photo objective, equip and use the Camera gadget to take the picture; merely reaching the location or interacting with the landmark is not the photo step, according to the guides. Use Basic for quest photos or ordinary snapshots; consider Advanced only if its extra settings are useful to you.
Basic or Advanced: which should you use?
Beebom reports that settings such as aperture, autofocus, and zoom are exclusive to Advanced, but does not provide a complete feature list or confirm controls for every platform. Read the current in-game item description before paying more for Advanced; the available information does not establish a full feature-by-feature comparison.

What happens if you die while carrying it?
Destructoid says the Camera is lost if it is in your backpack when you die. Because this detail is reported by one guide, treat it as version-sensitive; if you want to avoid risking a camera, use the quest-provided one or bring a spare when available.
