To unlock base-building blueprints in No Man’s Sky, use the Construction Research Station aboard the Space Anomaly to browse and research available parts. Older guides may direct you to dig up buried technology modules and spend their salvaged components at a Blueprint Analyser; that was the earlier method, and the analyser later became the Construction Research Unit.
How to research base blueprints now

Go to the Space Anomaly and find its Construction Research Station. Hello Games’ Frontiers update identifies the station as the place to browse the full set of base-building parts.

Use the station’s in-game interface to browse available parts and research the ones you want. The interface shows which options are available; the official update notes do not establish a complete current catalog or current research costs.
Why older guides mention buried technology modules
In the NEXT-era system, players used the Terrain Manipulator to locate and excavate buried technology modules. Their salvaged components could then be used in a Blueprint Analyser to unlock base parts, as described in Hello Games’ NEXT update.

That device and process were later updated. Hello Games’ Beyond update says, “The Blueprint Analyser has been transformed into an advanced Construction Research Unit,” and describes a system in which players can choose research paths. It also points to additional base parts aboard the Space Anomaly. The later Frontiers update names the Construction Research Station there as the place to browse base-building parts.
Which device name should you look for?
