Roblox’s September 2025 The Takeover event had four free wings: Wings of Inspiration, Wings of Genius, Wings of Velocity, and Wings of Hype. The reported routes were one Noob-tier challenge and event badge, plus three giveaways hosted in public servers by creators with specific roles. The event ended on September 22, 2025, so these are historical instructions, not active unlock steps.
The four wings and their reported unlock routes
| Wing | Reported 2025 route |
|---|---|
| Wings of Inspiration | Complete a Noob-tier challenge in a participating experience and earn its event badge. |
| Wings of Genius | Join an Administrator’s public server during a giveaway. |
| Wings of Velocity | Join a Developer’s public server during a giveaway. |
| Wings of Hype | Join a Star Creator’s public server during a giveaway. |
The routes above were reported by All Things How and corroborated by Beebom. Roblox’s event announcement describes the broad challenge and reward system, but does not specify how each wing was granted.

How Wings of Inspiration was earned
- Choose a participating experience offering a Noob-tier challenge for The Takeover.
- Complete that challenge and earn its event badge.
- Check your Roblox inventory for Wings of Inspiration. The 2025 how-to guide reports that the badge triggered the wing award.
How the three host giveaways worked
For Wings of Genius, Wings of Velocity, and Wings of Hype, the reported method was to join the public server of a host giving away the corresponding wing. The eligible role mattered: Administrator for Genius, Developer for Velocity, and Star Creator for Hype. Joining an unrelated public server was not the described route.

- Watch for an active giveaway from an eligible Administrator, Developer, or Star Creator. The 2025 guides suggested monitoring live content or the host’s profile for a server link.
- Open the host’s Roblox profile and join their public server while the giveaway is underway.
- If the server is full, retrying was suggested in period-specific guide advice; it was not a guarantee that a slot or wing would be available.
These were time-sensitive 2025 giveaways. The guides do not establish that any such host is giving away the wings now.

What The Takeover event was
Roblox’s September 12, 2025 announcement says The Takeover ran from September 12 through September 22, 2025, with 48 participating games. Players could enter districts, take on challenges or participate with a crew to earn creds, then spend those credits on avatar items. The announcement characterized it as a platform-wide event celebrating collaboration and the variety of experiences made by Roblox creators.
