In Legends Z-A, Pokémon will never auto-evolve after meeting conditions. Even once your Galarian Slowpoke has the correct item, level, and research progress, nothing happens until you manually activate evolution from the satchel menu.

Meet the Research Page Requirements Before You Try to Evolve
Even with the correct item, evolution will fail silently if your research level isn’t high enough. For Galarian Slowbro, focus on completing tasks tied to Poison-type attacks, aggressive behavior, and combat encounters. Slowking’s research leans toward Psychic-type move usage, status effects, and interactions during specific environmental states.
