To get Hunter’s Memento in Hollow Knight: Silksong, complete the required Hunter’s Journal entries and speak to Nuu at Halfway Home in Greymoor. The item page lists 230 entries in Classic Mode and 231 in Steel Soul Mode; the extra Steel Soul entry is Summoned Saviour. A separate guide gives a conflicting total, so treat those counts as the item page’s mode-specific requirements rather than an independently confirmed universal total.
How to get Hunter’s Memento
- Complete the required entries in the Hunter’s Journal: 230 in Classic Mode or 231 in Steel Soul Mode, according to the Hunter’s Memento item page.
- Find Nuu at Halfway Home in Greymoor and speak to her to receive the memento.
The item page attributes the additional Steel Soul requirement to Summoned Saviour, a boss unique to that mode. It describes the memento as a “Seal symbol given in recognition of a true Hunter, stamped in sticky goo.”
Which Journal entries are required?
The item page says Flintbeetle, Palestag, Shakra, Garmond and Zaza, Lost Garmond, and Lost Lace are not required for the memento. You do not need to complete those entries to meet the listed threshold.
There is a count discrepancy between community sources: the item page specifies 230 entries in Classic Mode and 231 in Steel Soul Mode, while a Silksong.codes guide published September 10, 2025 claims 234 entries. No official Team Cherry source establishing a competing total is cited here, so use the item page’s mode-specific counts with that disagreement in mind.

Nuu is in Halfway Home in Greymoor. After receiving Hunter’s Memento, you can display it on a Bellhome shelf by interacting with the desk, according to the item page.

Receiving Hunter’s Memento awards the True Hunter achievement, listed as worth 15G. Nuu’s dialogue, as reproduced on the community wiki, calls it “a symbol of all your efforts, and a marker of your true nature.”
