Guides describe Mew as a mission reward, not a regular booster-pack pull.
How to unlock Mew
- Open the Genetic Apex collection. Use its collection entries to track the first 150 Kanto Pokémon.
- Collect each required Pokémon. You need a card representing every one of those 150 Pokémon in the Genetic Apex collection.
- Find the revealed Secret Mission. Once the collection condition is met, look for “Complete the Kanto Pokédex!” The exact menu path can vary or change, so check the mission and collection screens in the live app.
- Claim the reward. Mew #283 is the mission reward. Confirm it appears in your collection after claiming it.
PokéBeach’s Secret Mission list identifies Mew and 48 Wonder Hourglasses as the reward for completing the mission. A TheGamer guide also describes the 150-Pokémon requirement and says Mew is not obtained from booster packs.
Which cards count toward the mission?
The requirement is the first 150 Kanto Pokémon in Genetic Apex—not every card in the expansion. A Polygon guide distinguishes this mission from completing the full set and says illustrated variants are not required.
Whether a copy from a later expansion counts toward a Genetic Apex entry is not established by the cited guides. Before spending resources based on a later-set card, check whether the Genetic Apex collection entry and the mission progress recognize it in your current app.

Is there another way to get this Mew?
The cited guides describe Mew #283 as the reward for this Secret Mission, rather than as an ordinary Genetic Apex pack pull. They do not establish an alternative unlock method. The card in question is the immersive Mew associated with the Kanto collection mission.
