In Deepwoken, you can gain Knowledge through Power-ups, quests and milestones, boss or event challenges, selected first-time enemy defeats, Crown and Kyrsan Medallion turn-ins, and the Moonseye Tome relic. The Deepwoken Wiki also lists Starting Knowledge, an Echo Shop upgrade that grants Knowledge to newly created characters. Rewards, limits, and prerequisites vary, so check the current in-game requirements before farming or spending it.
Ways to earn Knowledge
The Deepwoken Wiki’s Knowledge page lists several routes. They differ in repeatability, difficulty, and progression requirements; not every option is available or worthwhile for every character. These are community-wiki claims rather than rewards confirmed here by current official patch notes, and game mechanics may change.
Power up your character
The wiki says each Power-up grants 1 Knowledge, up to 19 Knowledge total from leveling. This is a progression-based source, not a repeatable way to earn beyond that listed cap.
Complete quests and milestones
The Knowledge page names rewards tied to quests or milestones associated with Beiruul, Kelsius, Mendacia, the Diver Expedition, and Golden Fish catches. Requirements and caps differ by activity. Check your in-game quest state and the current details for the specific reward before setting out.

Defeat bosses and complete challenges
The wiki lists boss defeats, including some repeatable rewards, and names encounters such as Primadon and the Ferryman. It also lists completing Hell Mode and waves in the Diluvian Mechanism, along with selected first-time enemy defeats. These routes can demand particular access, preparation, or combat skill; the wiki’s list does not mean every encounter is an efficient option for your character.
Turn in Crowns or Kyrsan Medallions
The wiki describes exchanging Crowns for an amount of Knowledge that depends on your Power. It also lists handing Kyrsan Medallions to Klaris after the stated Layer 2 progression. Check the exchange and progression requirements in-game before collecting items specifically for this purpose.

Use a Moonseye Tome
The Moonseye Tome is listed as a relic that grants Knowledge. The wiki reports a larger reward on first use than on later uses, but relic behavior is especially subject to change; verify what the item will do in the current game before using it.
Starting Knowledge is for future characters
The Echoes page of the Deepwoken Wiki describes Starting Knowledge as an Echo Shop upgrade. Each upgrade level adds 1 starting Knowledge, up to 5 total. It applies only to newly created characters, not characters that already exist, so it is a preparation option rather than a way to add Knowledge to your current character.

Choose a route that fits your character
- For a new character: Starting Knowledge is the clearest persistent preparation option in the cited wiki pages.
- For an existing character: Look first at eligible progression, quest, or encounter rewards that match your current access and skill.
- Before farming: Check whether the activity is repeatable, capped, or gated by a quest, location, or progression milestone.
- Before spending: Read shrine dialogue and confirm the exchange. The wiki warns that shrine transactions consume Knowledge immediately and that some changes cannot be undone.
What to know before you spend it
Knowledge is character-bound and, according to the wiki, is lost when that character wipes. Treat it as a resource to plan around rather than assuming it will carry over. At a shrine, review the exact transaction before confirming; do not commit on the assumption that you can reverse it or recover the Knowledge.
