Rest to advance time, check the sky for the full-moon condition, then use the detailed map’s gathering filter to locate the blossom in the Windward Plains or Scarlet Forest. Weather and reported area numbers vary across guides, so verify the node on your in-game map rather than relying on a fixed route.
Set the conditions before searching
- Rest to advance time. Choose a time that lets you observe the moon as night approaches.
- Watch the sky for a full moon. The guides associate Ephemeral Blossom with full-moon conditions; the environment overview does not establish a dedicated moon-phase tracker, so check the sky directly.
- Check the weather. Game8’s guide, updated October 22, 2025, reports that Plenty or Fallow weather is required and suggests Fallow for faster runs. Treat that as guide-reported advice, not a guaranteed timing rule.
- Give the blossom time to appear. Shacknews reports that it may take a short time after moonrise to bloom. If it is not visible at first, check the map and area again rather than assuming the conditions failed.
Where to find the Ephemeral Blossom

|---|---|---|
| Windward Plains | Areas 3 and 10 | Game8, updated October 22, 2025; also listed by the Gamer Guides database. |
| Scarlet Forest | Areas 14 and 18 | Game8, updated October 22, 2025. |
These area labels are not consistent across guides. Shacknews’ March 19, 2025 guide gives different region-to-area assignments, while the Gamer Guides database corroborates only Windward Plains Areas 3 and 10. Use the area numbers as starting points, not a definitive map.
When the conditions are right, open the detailed map and apply its gathering filter to look for Ephemeral Blossom. The node may not be announced before it blooms, so check the filter again after the moon is up. The map filter and location guidance are described by Game8; the conflicting area listings appear in Shacknews and the Gamer Guides item database.

Gather the pollen
Find the Ephemeral Blossom and interact with it to collect Nightflower Pollen. It is an in-game gathering item, not a real-world material. The Gamer Guides database lists it as rarity 6, with a carrying capacity of 99 and a sell price of 800 z; those are in-game item attributes, not a recommendation to sell it.
Why the old repeatable quest farm is unreliable
Older advice recommended repeating the optional quest The Desert Knows Not The Sea because it had a predictable full moon. That route is no longer dependable: version 1.000.05.00 randomized moon phases in optional quests, according to Game8’s patch coverage and a video guide’s update note. Use the rest-and-observe approach instead of treating that quest as a guaranteed full-moon farm. The earlier fixed-moon route and subsequent change are covered by Game8 and the Riunia video guide.

What Nightflower Pollen can be traded for
Game8 reports that Sekka in Suja accepts Nightflower Pollen for rewards including Gold Melding Tickets, Gold Relic Tickets, and Hard Armor Spheres. The source says the patch did not remove the trade. Check Sekka’s current trade options in-game, since the available evidence does not establish a universally best reward choice. See Game8’s item guide for the reported trade uses.
