You can get Scorbunny in Pokémon Scarlet by transferring one from Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield through Pokémon HOME, or by trading with another player. Scorbunny is available in Scarlet and Violet with The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero expansion; a transfer only works if HOME currently confirms the species can move into Scarlet.
Transfer Scorbunny from Sword or Shield with Pokémon HOME
This is the most direct route if you can access a Scorbunny in Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield. Pokémon HOME lists Scarlet and Sword and Shield as supported games, but its compatibility rules allow a Pokémon to move only into games where that species appears. - Make sure you have a Scorbunny in Sword or Shield. You can use one you already have or obtain one in those games.
- Open Pokémon HOME and use its game-transfer workflow to connect with Sword or Shield and place Scorbunny in a HOME Box.
- Check the current compatibility display for Scorbunny and Pokémon Scarlet. If HOME permits the move, follow its prompts to transfer it into Scarlet.
The available official instructions confirm the supported-game and species-appearance rules, but do not establish every Scorbunny-specific restriction or a fixed menu-by-menu sequence. Follow the current prompts in HOME rather than assuming every HOME Pokémon can enter Scarlet.
Claim the Hidden Ability Scorbunny only if you still can
Pokémon Support documents a Scorbunny with a Hidden Ability as a one-time gift associated with transferring Pokémon between Sword or Shield and HOME. The gift is limited to one per HOME account, and if it was traded away or released, it cannot be claimed again. See Pokémon Support’s gift Pokémon guidance (updated January 30, 2026).

Trade for Scorbunny if you do not have Sword or Shield
If you cannot provide a compatible Scorbunny yourself, trading with another player is an alternative. You will need to find someone willing to trade one; the official information cited here does not establish a particular trading method, partner, or guaranteed availability. Agree on the Pokémon and trade details with the other player before proceeding.
Check Pokémon GO eligibility before pursuing that route
Pokémon GO featured Scorbunny in its Community Day on March 14, 2026, when it appeared more frequently in the wild. That event has passed, so it is not a current opportunity to catch Scorbunny through that promotion. The event announcement is at Pokémon GO: March Community Day—Scorbunny.

Pokémon HOME describes a general path for moving Pokémon from GO through HOME to another game, but the official information available here does not confirm that a GO-origin Scorbunny can currently move into Scarlet. Check Scorbunny’s live compatibility in HOME before spending time trying this route.

No current official Scorbunny event or Tera Raid is established by the information available here. Treat older event dates as past events, and check official Pokémon announcements for a newly scheduled Scarlet distribution before planning around one.
