Where to find Suspicious Scrap
- Explore the Cavern layer and look for an Arsenal Lab structure.
- Check whether it is an Abandoned Research Facility or an Abandoned Workshop.
- Open the structure’s Security Chest to collect its Suspicious Scrap.
The official wiki lists one Suspicious Scrap in the Security Chest for each of these variants, with a 100% chance. The Arsenal Labs page identifies the structures and their locations; the materials index also categorizes Suspicious Scrap as an always-available Arsenal Labs material.

How many do you need?
The listed recipe for the SHPC requires four Suspicious Scraps. It also requires one Prototype Plasma Drive, 10 Mythril Bars, five Souls of Fright, five Souls of Might, and five Souls of Sight. Craft it at a Mythril Anvil or Orichalcum Anvil, as shown on the official SHPC page.
Since each relevant chest supplies one, collect four from separate qualifying Security Chests for that recipe. Suspicious Scrap itself is found in the world; it is not made from ordinary scrap or obtained by defeating a boss.

What changed in older versions?
The official item page’s history says version 2.0.2.001 made Suspicious Scrap guaranteed in Abandoned Workshop chests. Older pages may show different workshop odds, but those figures conflict with the current official item page and should not be used as the current drop rate. The history section is noted as a work in progress, so it may not record every change.
