To get Terragrim in Calamity, find an Enchanted Sword Shrine and break the qualifying enchanted sword in stone. It has a 1-in-30 chance to drop Terragrim instead of an Enchanted Sword, according to the Official Terraria Wiki. Calamity’s progression guide also points to sword shrines as a way to obtain either weapon.
Find an Enchanted Sword Shrine
Search for an Enchanted Sword Shrine underground. The Official Terraria Wiki also notes that the qualifying sword-in-stone object can appear very rarely in the Caverns layer. Calamity’s progression guide mentions shrine access to the Enchanted Sword or Terragrim: Official Calamity Mod Wiki: Mod progression.

Make sure you break the right object
A shrine may contain either the qualifying enchanted sword in stone or a junk sword-in-stone background object. Only the qualifying object can drop Terragrim; breaking the junk object will not get you the weapon. See the Official Terraria Wiki’s Terragrim page for the distinction.
Break the sword and account for the drop chance
Break the qualifying object to roll for its drop. The Official Terraria Wiki lists Terragrim’s chance as 1 in 30 (about 3.33%), with an Enchanted Sword as the alternative. It is a random drop, so finding and breaking one qualifying object does not guarantee Terragrim.

Which drop rate applies?
The 1-in-30 figure applies to Desktop Terraria 1.4.5.0: the Official Terraria Wiki’s version history says that update increased the chance from 1 in 50 (2%) to 1 in 30 (about 3.33%). Guides quoting 1 in 50 may describe an earlier Terraria version. The Calamity progression guide confirms the shrine route but does not establish a separate Calamity-specific drop-rate change or alternate acquisition method. That route is documented, but whether a particular Calamity release changes vanilla acquisition is not established by the cited sources.
