Epic Games required players to log at least two hours in Hogwarts Legacy through the Epic Games Store by December 18, 2025. That deadline has passed, and Epic’s published offer does not establish a current free-claim route.
What the free offer required
Epic announced the reward as part of its 2025 Holiday Sale. To qualify, players needed at least two hours of Hogwarts Legacy playtime through the Epic Games Store by December 18, 2025. The offer applied to the Epic Games Store version; Epic’s materials do not say that playtime on any platform or storefront counted. Epic’s December 11, 2025 announcement described the reward as the Chocolate Frog Back Bling for Fortnite.

You did not have to start playing during the promotion: Epic’s Holiday Sale guide said players who had already accumulated at least two hours would also receive the item. The cutoff was December 18, 2025; the sale and its qualifying deadline are historical, not active offers.
Can you still get it for free?
Not through the offer Epic announced. The deadline has passed, and Epic’s reviewed promotion materials do not identify a rerun or another current free way to earn this specific Back Bling. A future official offer could change that, so check Epic’s official channels for updates rather than relying on old how-to posts.

Epic says legitimate free cosmetic offers are announced through the Epic Games Store, official Epic websites, or official Epic social channels. Its free-cosmetics support page also warns against suspicious external offers. Do not assume a third-party website, code, seller, or support request can grant this expired reward.
If you qualified during the promotion but never received it
Epic said the item could take 24 to 48 hours to appear in the Fortnite Locker after playtime was confirmed at the end of the giveaway. Those steps may help players who met the deadline; they do not reopen the promotion.

What the reward was—and what does not unlock it
The Chocolate Frog Back Bling is a Fortnite cosmetic item. The qualifying route was tied to Hogwarts Legacy playtime on the Epic Games Store, not to buying Harry Potter-themed products. Chocolate Frog candy, an unrelated game copy, hardware, and ordinary accessories do not establish eligibility or unlock the digital item. Epic’s Fortnite Item Shop is an official place to check for current shop offerings, but Epic’s reviewed materials do not say that this particular Back Bling is currently available there.
