To get Trials armor glow, earn weekly consecutive-win streak rewards on the Lighthouse Passage: five wins in a row unlock yellow, six unlock white, and seven unlock red. Separately, seven total wins on that passage—losses included—grant access to the Lighthouse, but do not by themselves guarantee a glow.
How to earn a Trials armor glow
- At Saint-14, select the Lighthouse Passage. Bungie identifies this passage as the route for Lighthouse visits and its high-tier streak rewards.
- Win consecutive matches in Trials during the week to reach a glow milestone. The streak must remain unbroken; a loss resets it for these rewards.
- Reach the Lighthouse to claim the reward. Bungie’s February 2025 summary says a player who gets five consecutive wins unlocks a Trials glow when they reach the Lighthouse.
Bungie lists the weekly glow milestones as five consecutive wins for yellow, six for white, and seven for red. The seven-win streak is also the Flawless Passage milestone. These are streak thresholds, not simply the number of wins shown anywhere on a passage.

Seven total wins are not the same as a glow streak
The Lighthouse Passage has two distinct requirements. Seven total wins on the card grant Lighthouse entry even if the card also has losses. Glow rewards, by contrast, are tied to uninterrupted weekly win streaks. A player can therefore reach the Lighthouse after seven total wins without having reached the five-win streak needed for the yellow glow. Bungie explains this distinction in its Trials rework.
| Goal | Requirement | Documented result |
|---|---|---|
| Earn ordinary Trials rewards | Use the Trials Passage | A lower-stakes route with its own rewards and matchmaking, according to Bungie’s Trials rework. |
| Enter the Lighthouse | Seven total wins on the Lighthouse Passage | Losses on the card do not block entry once it records seven wins, per Bungie’s Trials rework. |
| Get yellow glow | Five consecutive wins in the weekly streak rewards | Yellow Trials Glow, listed in Bungie’s Trials rework. |
| Get white glow | Six consecutive wins in the weekly streak rewards | White Trials Glow, listed in Bungie’s Trials rework. |
| Get red glow | Seven consecutive wins in the weekly streak rewards | Red Trials Glow and the Flawless Passage milestone, listed in Bungie’s Trials rework. |
Do you have to go Flawless?
Not for every glow tier under Bungie’s detailed rework rules: five straight wins are the yellow milestone and six are the white milestone. Seven straight wins are required for the red glow and correspond to the Flawless Passage milestone. The separate seven-total-win rule is only for Lighthouse access.

#1 Best Overall
There is conflicting advice on Bungie’s older Trials of Osiris Help page, which describes a weekly Flawless-based yellow glow that fades after a week and says the Light for the Lost and Flawless Empyrean emblems change the glow to white and red. That page still uses older passage terminology and does not explain how its emblem advice interacts with the newer streak rewards. The more detailed rework and Bungie’s February 27, 2025 summary both describe the five-consecutive-win glow rule, so the Help page appears outdated for the current-facing thresholds.

Bungie’s June 11, 2026 update says Trials returned after Monument of Triumph, with three rotating maps each weekend, all Trials weapons dropping weekly, and a new armor set available to earn. That update does not restate the glow thresholds, so it provides current activity context rather than a new confirmation of the colors or streak requirements. See This Week in Destiny – 06/11/2026.
