Unlock Saya’s Visions
- Complete the Saya’s Vigil and Once Awake quests.
- Travel to Cetus on Earth and speak with Saya to unlock Saya’s Visions.
- Start the mission and follow the waypoint to Koumei’s Shrine. Interact with the shrine to begin Shrine Defense. After completing the mission once, you can launch it directly from its Star Chart node.

Get Higasa from Shrine Defense
Shrine Defense offers two ways to work toward the weapon: mission-table rewards and Fate Pearls. Higasa’s blueprint and components are among the possible mission rewards, so a drop is not guaranteed. Pearls earned in the mission can instead be exchanged at the Offer Fate Pearls shop beside Koumei’s Shrine in Cetus for Higasa’s blueprint and component blueprints.
Digital Extremes’ Update 37 lists 14–18 Fate Pearls for a normal-path Shrine Defense completion and 20–24 for Steel Path. To play the Steel Path version of Saya’s Visions, unlock Steel Path and complete Shrine Defense on the normal path first. The update does not establish the current pearl costs for the Higasa blueprints, so check the shop in-game for the exchange amounts.

Choose an acquisition route

The official update documents these routes but gives no comparative time estimate or current Market price, so it does not establish which option is fastest or best value.

Higasa is a primary rifle. Aiming creates a shield that blocks weapon fire; kills and blocked shots charge its alternate-fire beam. Digital Extremes describes it in Update 37 as: “Depend on Higasa when it rains bullets.”
