To get the Lightning Sword, also called Durendal, in Black Ops 6 Zombies, first obtain the Stag Bastard Sword on Citadelle des Morts. Then collect three Lightning Rods, place them in the vase on the Hillside Ramparts, charge the vase three times with the sword, and insert the sword to claim its upgrade.
1. Get the Stag Bastard Sword
- Reach the Dining Hall and kill helmeted zombies until one drops a Stamp. The documented guide route says this enemy appears from round 10 onward; it does not establish a drop rate.
- Take the Stamp to the Stag statue and use it to claim the Bastard Sword.
2. Collect the three Lightning Rods
Rod 1: Near Deadshot Daiquiri
Pick up the rod beside the Deadshot Daiquiri perk machine on the west side of Citadelle des Morts.
Rod 2: By shooting the electrical box
Equip a weapon with the Dead Wire ammo mod. Shoot the electrical box near Speed Cola; electricity travels along the wires, and the rod drops from the antenna.
Rod 3: From a zombie after speaking to Krafft
With the Stag Bastard Sword, interact with Krafft in the Dungeon, then kill zombies until one drops the rod. The guide describes Krafft’s interaction as the more reliable way to trigger this drop, while noting the rod may also drop randomly without it. No measured drop rate is established.

3. Charge the vase on the Hillside Ramparts
- Carry all three Lightning Rods to the metal vase on the Hillside Ramparts and insert them.
- Stay in the storm area until the Stag sword becomes electrically charged.
- Hit the vase with the charged sword to transfer a charge.
- Repeat the storm-and-strike sequence until the vase has received three charges.
4. Claim Durendal
After the third charge has been transferred, insert the Stag Bastard Sword into the vase and pick up Durendal, the Lightning Sword upgrade.

If the rod does not drop after speaking to Krafft, continue killing zombies; the guide does not provide a guaranteed timing or drop rate.
